BOO BOO (Loofah Dog)...Peanut Butter chew flips. Yogurt, sour cream.

VEGETARIAN.....NO MEAT !!! Lifethreatening allergies.
Favorite Walk:
Backyard forest marsh area. Romping in the creek, canoeing with Daddy.
Best Tricks:
Sitting pretty, Dutchie taught him this, it works on mum's heart strings.
Arrival Story:
Rescue...was mistreated by breeder. Picked up from our local pound and I was on the list for any Dachshund Rescue's.

My sweet Bertie Boy !!!
Bertrim is only ten months old but has been through to much for such a little guy. He was a rescue Dachshund, his mummy went through Hurricane Katrina during her pregnacy. Because of the filth, lack of fresh water and food she was not in the best of shape. She had three pups, Bertie being one of them. Bertie has life threatening allergies, he can only eat vegetarian food. NO MEAT at all or his little body shuts down completely. Only three percent of all dogs have this condition, it was very hard to figure this allergy out. Eight vets and three Internist later.... still not getting better (breaking my heart, some doc's were telling us to put him down). I just couldn't....something told me I needed to try harder, on a mission I went. So I turned to Holistic medicine and each day we started on veggie or meat and within 24 hours after taking him off the dog food we offered we found out his allergies. Thank goodness cause he was skin an bones and constantly dehydrated. His poor little back was constantly being poked for fluids which made him so sleepy. He is a trooper, and such a happy guy, you wouldn't even know he was so sick. We still have to monitor all his food, we can't offer him the same dinners for more then three months or his body will start to reject that offering also. Lots of love and paitence !!! But he is my wittle man and the look he gives me every morning is the best reward in the world.
