   Leave a bone for Auggie

Nicknames:
Beasty Dog, Auggie Boy, Brat, Ogg

Quick Bio:
-purebred

Likes:
Attention! If you don't give it to him, he takes it. Auggie is extremely friendly and sometimes overly enthusiastic. He loves people and interaction with people. He thinks they were put on the Earth to keep him company.

Pet-Peeves:
Auggie is terrified of rustling leaves. He doesn't care for the vaccuum, he hates being inside the car while it's going through a car wash and he's not very fond of rain.

Favorite Toy:
His favorite toy is a large stuffed Moose named Todd. Todd is more of a friend than a toy.

Favorite Food:
He is one of maybe a handful of corgis in the world who isn't food-oriented. He eats Eukanuba Fish & Potato kibble and enjoyes having a bite of whatever I'm having.

Favorite Walk:
He loves to walk anywhere and everywhere. But currently his favorite walk is on the treadmill!

Arrival Story:
After my first dog Elvis passed away, Murphy (see Murphy's page) was beside herself with grief. She would wake up every night howling. I had to get her a friend. Auggie was born just 2 weeks before Elvis left us and when he was about 7 weeks old we went to meet him. Murphy didn't try to kill him so I thought this was a good sign! We picked him up the next week and took him home. At first, she pretended to hate Auggie but he's gradually won her over. I frequently catch her playing with him and he seems to worship her. I had not had Auggie long when he escaped from my back yard and the people who found him tried to keep him. I call him my miracle dog because I finally got him back after he was lost for 3 weeks. I had put up fliers and offered a reward to whomever told me who had my dog. It worked!

Bio:
Auggie has a coat flaw. The long fur is a recessive gene coming through and he can only be a pet. But he's a wonderful pet! This long coat in a corgi makes him a "fluffy". Auggie is a member of the Corgi-L listserv.
