PEOPLE! Has only met one person he didn't like, and I trust his judgment. In a very close second (or maybe even first) is food, rides in the car, food, treats from the fridge, playing with buddies, did I mention food?

Motorcycles, loud cars, any dogs he doesn't know, especially those who try come close to my neighbor who gives him treats every time she sees him! we see a pattern here?

Favorite Toy:
Any ball, anytime (whether it is his or not!)

Favorite Food:
ANYTHING! Especially if it comes out of the fridge -- He thinks it is people food, but it is really his dog food. ;)

Favorite Walk:
He LOVES exploring new places (just like his Mom!)

Best Tricks:
"Tummy-time" (in lieu of saying, "Play dead!")

Arrival Story:
I had been looking for a small dog (think purse size?!) to rescue for about 1 1/2 years, but every time I tried for a dog, it was already taken. I really knew that God would give me the perfect dog for me....I just had to be patient. There were many "close calls" and dogs with whom I got attached, but nothing ever stuck. I live in Orange County, CA and was looking on a San Diego, CA website and saw a dog that looked like she might be a match. I went to see her, but she just didn't look healthy. The wonderful workers there then said, "If you want a GREAT dog, let me show you one." Well, he was everything for which I WASN'T looking: male, medium size, and a terrier mix (I'd heard horror stories about how hyper they were.) To my surprise...I heard myself saying, "OK, I'll take him!" And he has been my "angel dog" ever since. I couldn't have asked for a better dog -- which will spoil me, since he is my first.

I wish I knew....and I would LOVE to know which dogs "jumped over the fence." He looks like a small Golden retriever puppy (that is what most people guess) and a Corgi, but he has the "freckled body and mouth" of a terrier. His disposition is that of a Golden, but definitely has some terrier tendencies. ---------------------------------- -------------------------------- UPDATE! I had his DNA tested -- (yes, I was just TOO curious!) Turns out that they say he is, NO PRIMARY BREED, secondary is Cocker Spaniel, and "in the mix are: Dachshund, German Shepard?!, and English Coonhound! So, just as I thought, a lot of dogs jumped over the fence and he is a loveable, truly original, 100 percent, mutt!
