I just looked at my site today and noticed that my mom never wrote about my newest title..... I finally got her to the computer so that she could write about my brag.

On September 13th I earned my 3rd CDX leg and my new Open title!! I even earned it with style by getting first place in my class.

Mom says we need to get started working on Utility or it may be 2010 before I'm ready to show again. lol. I'm a smart little cookie so I bet I'll be ready in April to give Utility a try.

We recieved a letter from the Chihuahua Club of America two days ago saying that Lexey was the Top obedience chihuahua for 2007!!!! They invited us to their national specialty in Oct. to recieve a certificate at their banquet.

Our other big brag is that we earned our second leg on our Open CDX title and we won 3rd place!!

Mom took my sister and me to a show this weekend. There happened to be a chihuahua specialty going on. We showed in obedience and I won High In Trial. I beat my sister by half a point!! :P We both did a great job! I won this huge ribbon. It is the biggest one I have won so far, it's bigger then me. I can't wait to tell the vet everything and that those turbo knees she gave me are doing a great job and not letting me down!

Mom thinks I'm about ready to start my open obedience career. I have to agree with her. I love my dumbell!!

OHHHH and my mom just found out that I was the number one Chi in Rally Novice A for 2006. I can't wait to find out my stats for the 2007 year since I have earned sooo many more titles with great scores.

Another good show weekend!!

Mom showed me in Rally Advance yesterday and I got a perfect score of 100!! I won first place and earned my Rally Advance title. The judge also told us that we had the fastest time in the class. Another big thanks to the vet for those turbo knees. lol. :)

Today mom showed me in Novice Obedience. Once again I got first place with a score of 190 out of 200. Those turbo knees were not turned on today, I had some lagging issues, but I still did a great job and mom is proud of her little rescue chi girl.

Big Brags for Lexey

It's now been almost 7 months since Lexey had luxating patella surgery. I took her to her first show since the surgery, just to see where she is at with getting back into the training/showing mode. I entered her in rally. There were 17 dogs entered in our class. Lexey ended up with a perfect score of 100!!! There were two other dogs that had scores of 100. Once again the tie breaker is figured out by how fast they did the course. The two other dogs that had perfect scores were an aussie and a sheltie ( I figured they would end up winning first, second and us third), but who ends up having the fastest time....LEXEY!!!! The vet must have put turbo knees in her when she had surgery on them. lol.

7 weeks after knee surgery

The vet has given me full run of the house now and I am so happy. My right leg doesn't have much muscle in it since the surgery, so the vet wants me to do some exercises and do more walking to strengthen it. I still sit like a puppy on my hip, but everyonce in awhile my mommy catches me sitting correctly and it makes her smile. Last night mom decided to take me to our dog training club and just walk me around and do a few short heeling patterns without sits and just get out walking where it's not cold. It felt so good to go back there. I haven't been there for 7 weeks which feels like forever given that before the surgery I was there at least 2 times a week. I remembered everything about how I am suppose to heel, mom never made me do it, I just wanted to and I was in perfect position and pranced around with my tail wagging. I can't wait to get back in the ring, strut my stuff and show everyone that chihuahuas are capable of anything including high in trials and even after major surgery.

I have (had hopefully) grade 3 luxating patellas. My vet recomended that I have surgery to correct the problem. It has now been a week since I had surgery and I am doing well. I am only allowed to walk a little when I go outside to the batroom and mom can already tell a difference with my legs. I am still not putting alot of weight on either leg, but i'm also not limping. I go into the vet later tonight for a 1 week follow up. Hopefully the vet will be happy with the progress and let me have a little less restrictions. Right now I have to wear this weird thing over my head and I hate it, maybe they will think my stitches are healed enough so I won't have to wear it any more. Anyways...gotta go to the vets now. Wish me good luck.

Mom took us to another match today. I showed in Novice obedience and won my class. When all the obedience classes were finished they announced the High In Trail winner. This means that the dog with the highest sore in ALL the obedience classes wins a big ribbon. They said my name!!!! This is what mommy and I have been praticing for so hard and long for. My sister Elley had a great time and great winns too. She is going to have all of it posted on her site.

Our First Show

Thursday mom entered me into a toy breed specialty show for pre-novice and we took second. On Friday started the all breed show. Mom entered me on Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Rally Novice. On Friday I won First place with a score of 97 out of 100 points possible. On Saturday I won 4th with a score of 95. Then on Sunday I won second with a score of 99 out of 100 (I lost a point because I snifffed the ground.) The first place winner also had a score of 99 out of 100. So the way they broke the tie was with time. It took us 1:15.65 minutes and the other dog that was a very large dog, had a time of 1:15.56. So she won First. I think they should have given me a handicap since I have little legs and it is hard to go fast. lol. Since all three days we had we had scores better then 70 we got our first title. Now I can add RN after my name. :)
