Arrival Story:
Frill was the first Guide Dog puppy that we raised for Guide Dogs for the Blind, San Rafael, CA. After keeping her until she was 1 1/2 years old, we sent her off to doggy college for her formal training. She was there for 9 months and passed all the stages but was "career changed" because she developed allergies. Guide dogs must be 100% healthy to be placed with a partner. When they are "career changed", the raiser has first choice as to whether they want to keep them or not. We were overjoyed to get her back. She was a therapy dog at hospitals and schools and is now involved in a reading program called "Wagging Tales" through the Aurora, CO. Libraries. Children sign up to come read to the dogs every Saturday.

Bio:
Frill was bred in San Rafael at Guide Dogs for the Blind, and her parents were Sarah and Roddy.
