Jas tagged me ... and I'd better don't tell that I don't know nothing about football. But hey, it's a ball and I throw it to you!
Please try to get another team together, and of course write down 5 pawsome things about you.
Here are mine:
1. I'm sooooo glad that my friend Satiba is feeling better!
2. I really, really really don't like that wild stormwind outside today and think I'm better off in Dad's bed.
3. Every time Max lets the Hamsters dance, I have to think of my Gophers. See you in spring!
4. I don't just steal Barneys tennis balls, I also flick them in Mom's lap to tell her I want to play.
5. I listen so much better when it's just Dad and me.
Have fun!

Walker Indiana Ranger tagged me! I'm a bit late with my reaction - soooo much to do, but here are the 7 facts:
1. I love Dad more than anyone else, but when he's not there or pets Barney, I'm instantly on my way to Mom or friends.
2. Since a gander attacked me, I'm afraid of these big bad Canada gesse.
3. When Dad dawdles leaving the house with me, and I get impatient, I complain. Loudly.
4. I'm not that young anymore but get the zoomies like a pup.
5. With the weather changes here - in case of doubt, shed.
6. I don't give too much for toys as such, but love to steal Barney's.
7. When Dad falls asleep in the evening, I hop of the bed and sleep in my house (or on the floor or in the bathroom, depending on the weather).

I've been tagged by sweet Maven as well as by handsome young Walker. Mom had a cold and we're a bit late with passing the tag on (but not the cold), so here are the rules:
If you want to play, please tag 7 other doggies, and state the rules and 7 random facts about you in your diary. I tagged the mightyJackson, Parky Parks, sweet Boudreaux, of course my best friend Jazzy, Barney's most Precious, my idol Maui and Helga and her Dachsweiler-Sister Ellie
Here are my random facts:
- When it comes down to it, I only have eyes for Dad
- I like grooming my brother Barney
- I once managed to kiss Dad when he yawned. He wasn't exactly delighted
- I'm much quieter, but still a Scaredy-Rott
- Right now, there are four treats stored in my House
- I can't wait till the Gophers wake up again next spring
- I defend Mom and Barnes, but expect Dad to defend me

TAG!!
I've been tagged multiple times and can only hope that I fulfill all the rules before Mom's computer crashes again!
Here are the rules:
Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Dogs who are tagged, need to post in their Diary the rules & their 7 pawsome facts. Then choose 7 dogs to tag and list their names. Don’t forget to bark them a pmail that they have been tagged and to read your Diary!!!
1. It bugs me when Barney takes up my spot next to Dad, but I'm always watching out for my little brother.
2. Dad is everything for me, but I love my butt being scratched by Mom and other females, then I start the Rottie Rumble.
3. I'm not too much into playing ball, but I steal Barney's and do the "Nyah Nyah" around him to get him going. He's not the fastest though.
4. I grew up with people food, so my taste is spoiled. When Dad and I are alone he shares lots of things with me, and I slobbber up a lake.
5. Lately playing with puppies and little dogs is a bit much for this old Lady. I go back into the house to Dad.
6. I love to roll around, especially in stinky stuff.
7. okay, I admit it ... in the unlikely case I ever got a gopher (ground sqirrel) I would probably be scared of it.
If I get this safely on the net, I'm going to write to my pals
Jackson
Maui and Kona
Ellie (Dachsweiler)
Iris Foxie
Shasta
Daisy the Trucker Queen
Freckles.

I'm shedding like crazy. So far we only had really cold weather here in the first week of December, and since then it feels like spring is just around the corner. Consequently I'm shedding my undercoat at the speed of light. Mom keeps brushing me and brushing me and says if I don't stop this soon I'll be one of those hairless dogs. I think the little ones are cute, but a hairless Rottweiler - come on!

Barney might be a pest sometimes, but he has good ideas too. First was this thing about swimming. I used to be rather nervous about the water, because befor Mom and Dad got me noone ever took me for a swim. So I stuck to the shallow areas, and even that only when the water was really warm. But I saw Barney having sooo much fun swimming and fetching sticks and balls, and last year I went further into the lake and it wasn't bad at all! Dad bought a watertoy just for me, and I even jumped off the jetty to get it and it was so much fun.
And now balls. Of course they are all over the house, mainly tennis balls, and sometimes I stole them and took them to my house, as I like to have all sorts of things there, especially things belonging to Barney. But lately I found that it's actually fun to chase after them, and Dad is so proud when I even bring them back! Barney wants to get the ball *all the time* when we're outside, but Dad now makes him sit and wait every second time, and then it's my turn, and the little brat can't take the ball away from me (yes I can run faster than he, but I'm not quite as good as catching the ball out of the air, so if we both go for it I usually don't stand a chance). When it's Barney's turn I don't mind, I just get some more sniffing done till he brings the ball back and it's my turn again. I even learned to play some silly game in the house, when I'm lieing down and Mom sits on the floor and rolls the ball right up to me, and then I grab it and flick it back to her, and on and on and on. Dunno about old dogs and new tricks, but an older dog can sure learn new games!

The other day we were at the big field where Mom often takes us in the morning, and I was sniffing around, when I heard The Noise. Oh I was so scared; it reminded me so much of the awful times I had before Dad saved me from these stupid people. First The Noise wasn't even loud, I don't think Mom heard it, but she saw that something scared me and that I wanted to go back to the van. I didn't feel as bad as sometimes before, but I was still scared, especially as Dad wasn't with us to protect us. So we walked back to the van pretty fast, but I didn't run headlong, and Mom was very proud of me and petted and hugged me a lot and told me what a good dog I was, and even Barney stayed right close to us. I was glad to be back in the van, and even more glad to be back at the house and with Dad, who also hugged me and told me what a good girl I was for not running away.
Mom says they making The Noise cause they're building a house shooting nails into boards. We all hope they'll be done with it soon, and for the time being Mom and Dad take me for walks to other places.

Some days it really gets to me. Here Dad, Barney and I are in our towns little dog park, minding our own business. Along comes this lady with her dog, and the dog runs straight towards us. The lady doesn't want that, but her dog doesn't listen. So Dad calls us back and we sit at his feet, and the lady shrieks: "Don't you dare letting your pitbull bite my dog!" Uh, what pitbull? And did anyone look as if they would bite? Dad lets her know that a) we weren't dreaming of biting, b) we're not pitbulls, but so what? and c) if anyone can't control their dog it's she. So she says she's going to sue him cause "pitbulls are illegal, you know". (Not in this Province, lady). Dad told her she's welcome to make a fool of herself all she likes to.
What do these people think? I have no problem with someone being a bit cautious at first because of all the stupid propaganda against us Rotties and other breeds, and I've convinced quite a lot of people that I'm the friendliest, most lovable dog they can imagine, but how ignorant can you get? For the first two years of my life I knew nothing but abuse, and did that make me aggressive? Not a bit.
I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir here, but I just had to vent.

I'm so glad that it's warmer today! Been jumping around like a goat when we went for a walk around the sports fields - seems nobody ever plays baseball or soccer or whatever there all year, but what a great place for us. Mind you, the best will come in spring when the gophers come out again. I haven't caught one yet, but that's not for lack of trying. Dad heard somewhere that gophers have lots of different noises for different things and says they sure have one now that means: "Here comes that stupid Rottie again thinking she can get us! Heh heh heh!" You just wait!
