Birthday: March 6th 2003 Likes: Swimming, retrieving, chewing and generally *having* tennisballs, meeting people and dogs, bugging Sadie, visiting my favorite neighbors, licking Pet-Peeves: not getting all the attention, people not petting me, getting my ears cleaned, people who do what they shouldn't, like being on a roof, being told not to lick Favorite Toy: Tennisballs, everything else ballshaped, and did I mention balls? my Duck and my Goose, the Lurfie, Dad, Dad's blanket, Mom's sleeve, Favorite Food: everything edible: gotta stick to hypoallergenic food though Favorite Walk: I'd rather swim than walk, so it's Stafford Lake; I also like Indian Battle park and Pavan Park Best Tricks: When Mom asks me to bring a certain toy, I search all the house if necessary and find it; I say "Mom", but only for treats and food Arrival Story: Mom and Dad used to have a cat, and when Dad started taking the cat for walks and rides in the car, Mom said "I guess you need a dog." So they looked at adds in the paper, and found this Golden Retriever on a Farm who'd had a little fling with the neighbor's shepherd and then me and my siblings. I was the only male of the litter, and most of my sisters had already found a place. Our then neighbors also wanted a Dog, so Mom and Dad brought me and my sister back. Actually Dad wanted a female dog, but I was so cute with a white spot on my forehead, and in the car I puked on Mom, so they ended up keeping me instead. Bio: I was supposed to be Dad's dog, but then Sadie came and stuck to Dad like velcro, and being Mom's first dog I ended up a very spoiled Momma's boy.
I love love LOVE tennis balls. And swimming. So all summer long Mom and Dad take me to the lake and I fetch balls from the water. There are tennis balls everywhere in the house, but I always choose a ball of the day. I also deposit some around the house of my favorite neighbor Ernie, whom I visit every day. I trained Mom to fetch the balls when they roll under the couch or under the bed.
I love people and other dogs and try to get along with everyone; most of the time I think I'm irresistible. Forums Motto: Tennis-Balls and Water! The Groups I'm In: !WATER DOGS!, **HANG~N~WITH THE BIG DOGS**, FANCYPANTS CAFE, Rotties Rule, All About Surgery/Orthopedics, Canuck Canines, Golden Retreivers/ German Shepherds are AWESOME!, K9 Canada, Kong Nation, Rotten Rompin' Rotties, Rottie defense group, We bark German :o), Who Let The Dogs Out The Last Forum I Posted In: Need Help Chanting with Rio! Barney's bedtime: Bedtime is important to me. Around nine in the evening, I want to go to bed, and I hate it when Mom stays up longer. I don't mind following her around all day and stay where she is, from the home office to the garden to the living room, but when my bedtime comes, I just walk out and go to bed. Mom says I'm a horrible bedhog and grow twice in weight and three times in size when I sleep - well, I need to be comfortable, don't I?
The B's knees: When I was 3, I tore both my ACLs and had to have surgery, one in spring and the other one in autumn. But now I'm feeling better again. I'm still limping a bit, but my legs get stronger every day. I was a good patient, and I still love to see my vet. And I got spoiled even more while my legs were sore and used all the spare time to train Mom and Dad better.
Alright Pal! You made it here. I see you caught my foot ball pass. Here is what you should do next! Hurry and pass the ball to 5 of your team mates so they can make a touch down! You are also supposed to write down 5 things about yourself that are funny. Also please leave me a bone and ask all those who visit your diary to leave you a bone so you will know they have been there! Ok…Here goes the play!
1. I want to have my paw held in the car.
2. I have a soooo much better nose than Sadie. Mom calls it a needlenose.
3. You would not believe how I, although I love swimming and water in general, abhorr baths.
4. Living with a Rottweiler-Sister since I was a pup, I'm a great stunt-dog.
5. Balls, balls, balls and balls and more balls ... do I need to say more?
I was Love Tagged already two days ago by Sugar Danielle, my most beloved Precious' Michelle's sister ... and I now want to return the honour to this most wonderful, most beautiful girl, and of course her whole pack that is so very dear to me and mine: My beautiful Precious Michelle, her stunning sister Special Dawn and of course their wonderful parents. And to Sugar Danielle, the godmother of the pack.
Besides that, I'll start Love Tagging some of my good friends, may take some time on this lame computer and all that, but let's get started.
I Tag Gonzo, wo is running free at the Bridge now, and who was and will always be my best friend. Gonzo and his pack are just plain marvellous and the most loving and thoughtfull bunch of humans and animals you could think of. Gonzo my man, Sadie and I think of you a lot!
And I Tag Jackson the mighty Rottweiler, Sadie's and my friend since early days on Dogster and always there to hold my back and flatter my big sister, which makes her happy. I Tag him and his pack, and that includes his beautiful, charming sister Freckles, her of the Copter Ears and elegant dresses, and of course their loving Mom who is a special friend of all of us.
I Tag Iggy, who also went through knee operations around the same time as I, and his siblings and parents, and hope he's jumping and running around just as happy as I am, and the same goes for Homer, his sister Sophie and his parents, another dog who was operarted about the same time as Iggy and I were, and recovered wonderfully. Way to go, Iggy and Homer! Let's run and swim and be healthy again. Love you all!
Now I only get new Rosettes tomorrow, but the last one for today goes to a very special and much loved pack, that of Sadie's soul sister, the Bridge Angel Diamond Jazzy, matriarch and alpha female extraordinnaire, her "little" brother D-Day who followerd her to the Bridge because he loved her so much and is now looking out for all of us together with her and still giving us young uns his gentledoglike and debonnair advice, and their little sister Belle who had such a lousy start in life and is doing so exceedingly well now! Belle is already a beautiful young girl and a gifted Rottweiler doing so well at training, and another source of love to her human family. That family in turn adopted her and is giving their all! How much more love can there be? However much it is, Sadie, Mom and I are sending it to you guys!
My buddy Jake tagged me, so I will write the rules down;
I get to choose 7 of my pals to tag. Here are the rules I was given for the game: Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Dogs who are tagged, need to post in their Diary the rules & their 7 pawsome facts. Then choose 7 dogs to tag and list their names. Don’t forget to bark them a p-mail that they have been tagged and to read your Diary, or send them a fun Rosette announcing they've been Tagged!
Here are 7 facts about me:
1) I love Precious Michelle, my most beautiful curly tailed Pittie girl!
2) Mom got me a nice set of stairs leading up to their new foam bed, so I can get on this high bed.
3) Tennis Balls are really serious stuff, I can't believe Sadie is so casual about them.
4) Hey, it's almost Summer, and Dad already took us to the river. Of course I had to swim!
5) Can't wait for those days of frozen Kongs and sitting with Mom in the shade watching the world go by.
6) I feel great and might chasing planes away!
7) So I'm a Momma's Boy, so what? I love my Dad, he's great fun, but she's my Mom.
I tag:
1.Precious
2.Gonzo
3.Homer
4.Fred Astaire
5.Samuel Jacob
6.Rio
7.Zoe D.
7.Sadie
