Arrival Story:
Maximus was a gift to myself on Christmas. I was going through alot in my life and needed something to keep my mind off alot. I couldn't have asked for a better dog. Maximus always has me laughing and a smile on my face.Everytime I was feeling down and was in my room on my bed, it seemed he knew it. He would lay right next to me and look at me as if he was saying,"It's going to be alright" For a while it was just me and him, but at that time it was enough.

Bio:
Born in Hungry and then a plane trip to Michigan to meet Jen at Bulldog Ally. Then another plane trip to the San Francisco Airport to meet my Dad. Just in time for Christmas. Maximus has grown up in a house with three pitbull roomates. He grew up quick being the low dog on the pole but he is a scrapper. He now thinks he is a 100 pound pitbull, must be small dog complex.

I almost lost my Maximus

I came home from a hard days work and was coming home to my boy Maximus. I walked inside and found Maximus sitting and shaking in pain. He could not move his rear legs and could not find anyhting around that might have fallen on him. Off to the vet I went with my boy.

Vet saw him and sent me to a specialist for back injuries. The vet believed it was a slipped disk. The specialist confirmed the heart breaking news. Surgery was an option but his future was uncertain. I was not going to put him through that. The specialist gave me a second option with a steroid treatment with other medications. He told my to give him a fighting chance because he has seen miracles happen. One thing I know is he has a fighter's heart.

First couple of days were hard. Maximus could not move and had no bladder control. It did not look good for the little guy and killed me to see him that way. We took him back and a cathader was put in to relieve his bladder.

On day 5, while with my girlfriend, the little monster got up stubbled and went outside to go to the bathroom. It was not his time to go and know he has a bit of a limb but Maximus is getting around. Regardless I have my baby boy again.
