Arrival Story:
I'd just gotten a house with a big yard. I didn't want a puppy, but a young mutt. As a kid, we'd always get our dogs from the shelters. I'd been going into the shelter for months without getting THAT connection from any dog until Rocky.

Bio:
Rocky was the right size/age of dog I wanted. The shelter said he'd been returned TWO times for chewing on furniture. Those people just didn't pay enough attention to him! He was already housetrained and knew some commands. I took him into the play area and couldnt get him to bark--I didn't want a yapper. He is part Basenji --he can yodel and he does bark (nicely) now. When he's told to stay out of the dining room when there's company, he sits IN the doorway with his back to us.
