Murphy's most favorite activity in the whole world is eating. Food food food... where is the food??? This is followed by lolling around and rolling in stinky vile substances.

Pet-Peeves:
Murphy hates getting her nails trimmed, the blow dryer, loud applause and excessive exercise.

Favorite Toy:
Her favorite is a stuffed cow that is now the carcass of a stuffed cow.

Favorite Food:
She has no favorites! They are all her favorites!!! However she is on a prescription diet. She just switched from Eukanuba Fish & Potato to Science Diet Canine z/d Ultra.

Favorite Walk:
Her favorite walk is around McKinley Park in Sacramento. The trail around the pond is littered with stinky bird droppings.

Arrival Story:
My first Corgi, Elvis (who passed away several years ago) needed a companion. I called around to breeders and found out that Murphy was available. At the time I lived in San Francisco and she was in Napa, about 90 minutes away. I loaded Elvis in the car and we went to meet her. After all, she was going to be his companion. When I saw her my heart melted. She only weighed 17 pounds, had lost quite a bit of her fur and was scared of the world. But she seemed to like Elvis. She comes from one of the most prestigious lines of Corgis and on her first litter of pups she had trouble, needed to be spayed, and finally developed a horrible infection. She never even got to meet her pups. I decided that she would make a great companion for Elvis. I put her in the front seat with Elvis in the back. Just a few minutes into the trip she started shaking like a leaf, just terrified. Elvis jumped into the seat with her, put his paw on her back and his head across her shoulders. He "held" her the whole way home! It was all I could do to keep driving and tears rolled down my face at this sight. They were best friends for almost 8 years until Elvis passed away.

Bio:
Murphy is a retired pet therapy dog. She visited patients in the hospital as well as home bound patients. She enjoys public appearances very much. She has a very gentle approach to people. She was on the cover of the Browntrout 2000 Welsh Corgis Calendar. Murphy is a member of the Corgi-L listserv.
