Today when we were visiting our friends at the nursing home I decided I wanted ALL of the attention so here's what happened. Me, Lucy, Savanna, Rockey and mommie were visiting out in the garden where there is a lovely Koi pond. I had no idea what it was until mommie told us. Anyway we were looking at it and I found a spot to squeeze through the fence to get a closer look. Well instead of stopping at the edge I just kept on walking right into the pond SPLASH. What a shock I had not idea it was water, I was really scared. Mommie says I must have thought the dark color of the water was the flagstone deck because I kept walking without hesitation at the water. You see I do not see very well from either eye so apparently the colors played a mean trick on me. As soon as I walked into the pond mommie was right there to grab me and hold me close because I was really, really scared. The nurse brought two big thick towels and mommie wrapped me in them and held me close. When I finally gained composure I looked around and just about everyone in the place was standing over me concerned about me. Wow all those folks giving me so much attention almost made the awful incident worth it. I know one thing for sure I may not see very well but I will NEVER forget that Koi pond is there.
I am feeling much better now I got extra everything from mommie today to help me feel better.

I have made so many wonderful friends. I met my soul sister on Dogster. Scarlett. We have absolutely everything in common except the weather.
Scarlett lives in the snow in Maryland while I live in sunny California. Scarlett's letters were laced with talk of snowflakes, fireplaces and snowsuits. I had always hoped to meet my "sister" Scarlett and her family so I wrote hoping against hope that the cold weather might be the incentive to come see me. I really needed a long chat with a friend who would understand. I have four adopted children and raising them alone is difficult at best. My boys were at an age where they were needing the input of a father figure. I was hoping Scarlett's dear husband Booger would be able to help me in this area.
I was ecstatic to learn the family could make the trip! Scarlett and I realized they would all need a very different wardrobe in 85 degree weather. Having nothing on paw we quickly contacted our dear friend, Tama the K-9 Versace. Tama took the situation in paw and with a few measurements overnighted a beautiful suitcase full of wardrobe Hollywood ready! It really takes a dog to design for a dog!
Before I knew it Scarlett was in my arms. We looked at each other a long moment and burst into tears. So much was said and understood in that one look. We kissed on both cheeks as the tears flowed.
As we turned to look Booger and Rockey were lifting Cinnamon, Honey and Johnny off the suitcases they were riding around and around on the converyor belt in baggage claim. I was very grateful for the help.
Beatrix, Norma Jean, Savannah and Lucy were chatting and giggling like old friends.
Booger fell asleep watching TV while Scarlett and I stayed up into the night talking and looking at photographs together.
The first day we hit Hollywood. I was very nervous of little Norma Jean with a name like that being "spotted" and pressed into the movies. We had such fun walking the walk of fame. Folks were stopping to photograph us like we were celebrities. Apparently it isn't often folks see eleven dogs out on the town on their own.
That evening as a little surprise we drove out to Orange County to see Suzy Q and Domino. As we pulled up at their spacious and beautiful home, Beach Girl Hattie ran out and jumped right into Rockey's paws. Imagine how excited Domino was to meet Lucy.
Daisy and Banky arrived just in time to eat. Daisy was wearing her hat and very pretty in red. Sophie and Mollie arrived next wearing coordinating paw print outfits.
Everyone was laughing and talking excitedly when the food arrived! There were bones, and scones, noodles for the Poodles, cookies and candies. The spread was amazing.
Just when it couldn't get any better who should come strolling in? Tama himself. We all stood gaping amazed. Clapping his paws he quickly assembled us into the Valentine's fashion show...dogs kept arriving, big ones and small ones, old ones and young ones.
All had the best time ever! If you would like to see pictures of the fashion show, just click on Dogster on the fashionclub show! All the dogs are there for you to see. You may send your vote for best outfit to Tama the Versace of K-9s.
Good Luck everyone! Thank you to Suzy Q and Domino for lending their spacious and lovely home for this event.

I am soo excited this morning on the way home form getting mommy's coffee we saw Tabitha!! Tabitha is one of my daughters who went to live with a wonderful lady named Mary. Tabbie as we call her looked great - she is the spittin' image of her daddy Booger. I think she still knows who we are!! She could not stop kissing mommy. Although Tabbie lives close by it is not often that out paths cross so you can imagine what a lovely surprise it was to see her today.
The day just kept getting better the sun was shinning and it was a plesant 64 degrees so of course we had to take a nice stroll around the neighborhood and check on some of our friends. It is so nice to friends we don't normally see this time of year because of the weather. You see we do not like the cold therefore winter walks are not on our list of activities.
As if all of this wasn't enough mommy took all 6 of us to PetsMart for a little shopping in the afternoon. We love going to PetsMart we have many friends who work there and we always make a bunch more - and today was no exception. We had a great time.
I am sure you can imagine I am exhausted so I am going to ask mommy to tuck me into bed now....Good Night....Shih Tzu Kisses Scarlett

Today we went to the nursing home for our regular visit and to my surprise there was a party going on!! It was so fun all of my elderly friends were eating, talking and dancing. The dancing looked very fun to me so I just stared up at a couple dancing with my big "give me what I want eyes" until they noticed me, then finally mommie picked me up so we could all dance. What a great time!! It was so wonderful to see my friends having such a lively time.
Gotta go wrap gift now - I'll write again soon. Happy Holidays.

I just love this time of year, although I can do without the cold and snow. I have been very busy baking cookies, shopping and decorating. Today I took a little break and me and the family and our mommie went to visit Santa. We got our pictures taken too!! It was very fun. We met lots of new friends - we always attract a bit of a crowd when mommie takes us all out together. I wish all my pup pals a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!! Greenies to all...
