Arrival Story:
I was so excited when we went to pick up Violet, I was almost crying! Her breeder let all the dogs into the house from the backyard, and it was like a little Frenchie herd, thundering through the door. Violet came right over to me, and wagged her tail, but then her big sister climbed over her, and sat on her head!

Violet was born near San Diego, so it was a long drive to her forever home in the San Francisco Bay Area. But one of her litter sisters, Trixie, lives just a few miles away! This is my husband's first dog, and he is smitten!

I scared my mommy to death

Just after Halloween, my silly daddy left down a WHOLE yummy package of Hershey's "fun-sized" bars. They smelled *so good,* that I ate them, wrappers and all. Then I didn't feel so good. I threw up, and threw up, and threw up. And I couldn't poop no matter how hard I tried!

When I threw up a bunch of wrappers, my mommy realized what had happened, she freaked, and yelled at my daddy, but I felt so sick, I didn't care. We drove to the vet as fast as we could, and Dr. York was very worried about me. I had to go to the Emergency Vet two nights in a row, and spend three days at my regular vet! They thought I might have pancreatitis, or had damaged my digestive system for GOOD!

But I am a lucky dog, and after feeling kind of woozy for a few more days, I made a complete recovery. My mommy told my daddy that if he wanted any more chocolate, he would have to buy it and eat it outside of the house from now on. :)

Can you believe I am going to be 6 years old on New Year's Day? I have been on Dogster since I was 5 months old!

I hope that none of you get sick this holiday season, and get lots of toys and treats!

I am very sad to report that my breeder, Susan Woynilko, founder of SuMa Kennels, died after a long battle with lung cancer on Saturday, May 13, 2006. She was 56.

I am going to miss her, because I know she loved me so much she almost kept me, even after she promised me to my Mom. I was even named SuMa's Ultraviolet, in case she wanted to breed me, but we decided my Mom was too much of a scaredy-cat to risk my health.:)

Sue's dogs and bitches have won many championships, and have served as foundation bitches and studs to many a kennel in existence today. My mom and I will miss her very much.

Frenchie Kisses,
