Gram was huddled in a corner, clearly frightened and in shock. The sign on his kennel said greyhound which was then crossed out with the word "saluki" on top. I didn't care what he was but I knew he needed to get out of there and fast. I took him home as soon as he was neutered. His first gift to me was a big stinkin pile of poop on my new rug. He seemed so proud of his accomplishment, how could I not keep him?
Bio:
Sources have said that he was dumped by the old airport, a common dumping ground for dogs. Another source said he was a "coyote dog" used for hunting coyotes. Yet another source said he is in fact a pure bred greyhound, not saluki mix, and that his AKC lineage does not result in the large hindquarters usually seen in track dogs. Whatever. I was able to get an ILP listing for greyhound so for argument's sake, that's what he is.
