I got into a posh dog park!!!

Mom just got me into this crazy posh dog park in Portland. She had to fill out a three page application, have her photo taken for a keycard, and then she had me undergo an interview with a dog trainer to see if I could get accepted into the park. I passed, and now I'm in! The dogs I've met at Glenhaven have been really sweet to me. They share their toys, and they don't step on my feet like most of the other dogs at the other parks. They're very polite. I like to swim with them in the fountain. There's lots of soft, green grass to run on. It's puppy heaven! I have a hard time leaving the park because it's so nice. My backyard looks like the slums compared to this place! I hope more dogs join this park, though, because I would love to play with other small dogs like me.

10 lbs. at 6 months

I am now 10lbs. and Mom says I'm solid. I'm a lot of meat packed in tightly into a small package, kind of like a Jimmy Dean sausage package.

I was supposed to go to obedience school in February, but my Mom was going through a hard time for the past couple of months, so now they're trying to clicker train me.

I got spayed at the vet and that was very scary. Not only did I have to wear the E-cone around my neck, but I got a UTI from the stress of surgery. Mom gave me antibiotics hidden in cheese and buffalo meat, so that was kind of cool. But the antibiotics from the UTI wrecked my intestinal flora, and it gave me the runs-ies, so I had to go to the vet AGAIN for more antibiotics! I'm doing really well now, so I hope I don't have to see the vet for a long, long time. I think the boy dogs have it a lot easier when they get neutered.

Mom sewed me a nifty raincoat for last Valentine's Day (as seen in the pics). I don't like to walk in it, but everyone says I'm the cutest thang when I'm in it. I hope Mom doesn't go too crazy with the sewing anymore. I think she's going to try and make me a sushi roll costume for next Halloween. I will be a large California roll with legs. This should be interesting...

I'm 5.3 lbs at 14 weeks!!!

Just went to the vet yesterday and I'm 5.3 lbs. now! Mom and Dad are hoping that I will at least get to 10 lbs. The vet thinks I'm going to get up there in the 10-12 lb. range. Mom and Dad are obsessed with the Humane Society site and petfinder to find a sister or brother for me. I start puppy preschool for small puppies this month and I'm sure I'll find some new playpals. I love other dogs, even the ones who try to run away from me.
