Arrival Story:
I asked my friend if he would like to go to the pound and look at dogs with me. I wasn't sure if I should adopt or what, but I did want to. I had this idea of adopting a small dog, not furry, and just the opposite of the way Alfred looked. I just saw him and after just minutes of spending time with him, my friend said, "that's your dog". So I was able to take him home a week later and the first time he got out of the cage he peed on my leg. Yep, my friend was right and I knew he was the right dog for me too. He was 3 months old at the time of the adoption. He's been a blessing to me and my family and I am so happy that he is apart of our lives.

Bio:
Alfred stays indoors with me a majority of the time. I try to take him for walks whenever I can. He likes to snuggle and sleep by my feet. He prefers playing with his tug string over eating any doggy treats. Haha. Everytime I bring home a new string for him to destroy, his eyes practically bulge with excitement. :)

On my 1 week vacation!

My owner's sister is currently taking care of me for a week! ONe week vacation! Woo Hoo! She takes me to the park everyday and spends oodles of time with me. I have a humungous yard to run around in and my neighbor dog friends to play with. I have been getting more baths though since I have been running around and getting dirty. My neighbor who is a a very small male dog has a humping problem. Even though I am not interested in getting pregnant, he likes to come over and hump my back. I must be a pretty good looking dog to even charm the males! ;)

My owner called the other day to check up on me, she misses me so much and can't wait to see me again! Soon enough we will be together again.

New Haircut!

It's hot in Riverside, CA. I am losing a lot of hair! Am I going bald? No, just shedding. My owner decided to take me to Petsmart and get me a haircut. Look at the new pictures of me to see my short haircut, my owner calls me a "tiger" because she finds the color of my fur to look like a tiger stripped design.

It felt strange at first because I've never had hair that short, but after a day I got use to it. My owner thinks I look very handsome! She took me home to visit my loving family a few days ago and the neighbors came over to visit. The conversation went something like this..

Neighbor: Wow, you have two dogs and they are so calm and well behaved. They bark or growl. How do you do it?

Family Member: No, it's the same dog, he just got a haircut now.

Hahaha... I guess I look so different that people mistaken me for another dog!

Where is the love?

I am a sociable dog. I love people. I love other dogs. I wish everyone could pet me and adore me, but some people are so scared of me. They scream at the sight of me and slam doors in my face when I try to greet them. Other dogs bark and growl and even try to rip me a new one. I tried to play with the neighbor's cat, Sandy, and she just whap and scratched and hissed at me instead. :( I wish there were more friendly people to play with. I only meet friendly dogs and people at the dog park.

The other day my owner took me and Daisy to the dog park. We met two dogs, Archie and Racheal. They were black labs and so much fun! We ran and ran and ran around for about a hour and a half. We had so much fun and drank so much water. I hope to see my new friends again soon!
