 Quick Bio:
 Birthday: August 15th 2000
Likes: Everyone being together, being held, taken for walks, and sleeping on people beds. He goes crazy if you keep saying "Yeah" to him. Absolutely nuts.

Pet-Peeves: Unrestrained children, other dogs that are significantly larger than him, and being alone

Favorite Toy: He doesn't like toys much, but he likes socks and mice (real or fake)

Favorite Food: Meat, but eats absolutely everything (apples, corn, etc)

Favorite Walk: Not too far

Best Tricks: Jump, speak, play dead, and 'swim' (crawl on his belly)

Arrival Story: My childhood dog, Spike, had died painfully in the summer of 2004. We were all devastated, but my parents didn't want another dog. One day at church my mom called me over to a conversation she was having, where a woman said that her friend had to get rid of her little dog who spent most of his days in a cage. We'd never had a little dog, but I was thrilled out of my mind that it appeared my mom was considering it, and she said she'd talk to my dad. They had a meeting after church, and I filled in my brother about it. We were already talking about 'our' dog. My dad was hesitant, but he asked them to bring the dog over. He was so impressed with Ozzie, we never sent him home :-)

Bio: Ozzie was very timid when he first moved in, and a little depressed. He spent lots of time looking out the window, waiting for his old owner to come back for him. He was used to getting up early for his old owner to go to work, so the first day he woke me up at five AM. He was insurmountably happy that someone was always home with him, and soon adjusted to our family. However, he was terribly scared on men when he came to us. My brother would try to play ball with him, and Ozzie would growl at him when he tried to take the ball back to throw it for him. After months and months he finally decided he liked my dad, and whenever he is home spends his time sleeping in his lap. He loves vacation, and even though he doesn't like car rides, if we are all in the car, he will soon fall fast asleep (opposed to panting). I found out quickly that he was very smart and eager to learn to tricks. I have taught him almost everything I can think of, and he though he is true to his stubborn terrier nature, after he will get a trick down he will repeat it over and over whenever he wants a treat. All in all, he is a wonderful roommate and friend.

Forums Motto: I still need my 23 hours of sleep!!

I had to get shots today.... I didn't love it so much.
First, today was a little strange, because mom and dad were gone for so long, (I was sure they were really outside somewhere hiding - so I whined and tried to look out the windows 'till Shannon told me to be quiet.) Then Dad came home and the three of us went for a ride in his truck. I hadn't ridden in it since we test drove it at the car dealership... :-) Then we went to the police station! There were lots of other dogs there, some were really nice, and then Shannon put me on this table. I couldn't believe it. I thought maybe this was the groomers secret hideout, but they didn't cut my hair. These ladies stuck needles first in to my right shoulder, then my left! The nerve of some people. I was so tired on the way home, I slept most of the way. But mom was finally there when we came home! I guess the days not all bad.

My mom is on this kick about socialization. I tell her its enough that I see other dogs on tv and have lots of stuffed dogs around, but she doesn't bite that.
The dog park the other week was fun, but a little scary. I mean, there was a huge mass of giant dogs zooming here and there, sometimes I had to try and scare them off. It worked of course. I did meet some nice little dogs, and a big fat weimaraner who was pretty calm, too.
Then the Newfoundland. Ben is nice, but he is the dog version of a tornado. As far as size goes anyway. We'll probably be friends soon. I always smell him on my mom when she comes home from work. I never knew dogs went to work until I met him there.
Then, the bulldog! Compared to her, Ben and I are best friends. I decided that she shouldn't be allowed to have any toys - even at her own house, so I went to take her ball away from her. It didn't work, I got a little apprehensive once I got close to her, and then decided I must get her off my trail by zig zaging in front of her barking my head off. I really did try to snarl, its hard to tell sometimes, though. She sure did smell good though! I didn't know any dogs smell that good! It was the best when she came in from outside. After a while we mostly ignored each other. And neither Shannon nor Mike would put me down to fight it out with her. They knew I didn't have to prove myself. For some reason though, Mike played fetch with her! I couldn't believe it! I never fetch, once it stops moving, what is the point anyway? Oh, I couldn't barely contain myself! I had to stop the madness but Shannon wouldn't put me down....I'm sure there'll be another time.
Maybe when it gets warmer we can walk to Lily and Chloe's house. They are good friends of mine. I only bark at them sometimes, its just because they both want to be my girlfriend.

I had lots of good snacks today.
There is this one, I had been drooling over it for a while, but Shannon kept taking it away from where I could get it. Thankfully mom left it on Shannon's bag right within my reach last night. When I got up this morning, after doing my rounds running around the house, I saw it there, and proceeded to tear it to teeny, tiny shreads. She thought it was a furry key chain, but it was really a bad animal just pretending to be innocuous. It would make them go places in the car, and leave me at a home. Even worse, sometimes it would make them bring me. I always think we are never coming back when we go somewhere in the car.... I pant and pant. But if everyone is together in the car, I mostly sleep. Sometimes I still pant though, because someone might get out, and the car could forget, and drive away without them.
Most of the day, after the key chain, I just had regular food. Finally, however, Shannon took off her sweater, and left it on the side of the couch. Bingo! A dark purple sweater she got for christmas, with lots and lots of yummy fur around the collar. Unfortunately, I didn't get do to a good enough job, because she was just mad, but is keeping it. I love anything with fur. Nothing is better than tearing all of it off.....
