Arrival Story:
Always having multiple dogs at one time , my mother had lost her last dog and there was a terrible void in her home. After Phyllis Betty died she acquired Ida Rachel and said she would always have two dogs as she did not want to ever have that void again. So, true to her word she found Marian Ruth....and the rest as they say is history!!!
Bio:
Marion is my mother's dog and she very recently added her to her family. She is just a wonderful sweet dog with the greatest body. We are just hoping her ears go up but if they don't , oh well!!!
Sadly, just two weeks before Marion's third birthday Marion passed away. Marion was born with an elongated soft palate and at 7 months old had surgery to correct it...it was not successful surgery and she almost died then. The Vet told us they might have to go back and tweak it a little bit but we were fearful she would not survive the second surgery so we declined. Marion would have these breathing episodes (almost like an asthma attack) that would last for about 15 minutes or so. This happened the night she died and we guess her little heart and lungs just couldn't take it any longer. She was quite the character and a true love. She is so greatly missed by all.......

Finally, one and only one of my ears went up!!!! My Auntie says I look so cute with only one ear up and she hopes the other one doesn't go up cause she says I look absolutely adorable that way. My Mommy and Auntie went on a my first outing (other than the vet) the other day. They took me to Pet Smart for a pedicure. I also got to meet my Basset cousin, Polly Esther who just ignored me, my feelings were kinda hurt but once in the store I got tons of attention. Everybody loved me and even some of the people knew that I was a Frenchie. I am somewhat surprised at how many people don't know what a French Bulldog is....gee whiz, I'm not that odd , am I!!! All in all we had a very busy fun day and was I exhausted when I got home, after all I am only 4 months old!!!!
