Arrival Story: She was an early Christmas gift from my sister and BIL. There was an ad in the paper for "free mystery puppies" and we decided to go see what they looked like. I had wanted a dog all of my life but never got one. Finally we have our own house, I'm eighteen, and people were sick of hearing me talk about it. When we got to the house where the puppies were, there was only one female left (which is what I wanted), and I couldn't leave her there. She was covered in fleas, with patches of hair missing because of the flea nests and so very bloated from worms. She was about 6 1/2 weeks old. Very lethargic and calm, such a sweetie. It was a huge deal when I brought her home without my parents knowing. I took her to the vet the next morning, got her dewormed, started on her shots, and on her way to recovery. She was 11 pounds at the time and the vet said she was part Rottweiler, but she's also half-Lab because that's apparently what her father was. Her mother was 11 years old and the people that had her didn't think she could get pregnant...surprise! There's supposed to be pit bull in her as well and God knows what else, since she has shepherd coloring. Judah grew like a weed and now topped out at 74 pounds. She's very smart, has always been housebroken (there were about three accidents when she was very young and sick), was a terror as a puppy but with a firm hand and no tolerance for aggressive behavior, she's turned into the dog I never imagined I would have. She shares my bed, she is the light of my life, and I couldn't have asked for a better dog. I love her so much it hurts.

Bio: Judah is my heart dog, simple as that. She has matured into a loving, playful, sensitive dog who I trust and love more than anything else in this world. She is what I compare other dogs to and they all fall short, even Israel. She loves having another dog around now and couldn't be happier. (Except, maybe, if I got more dogs!)
