Arrival Story:
I got Tenzing from a Collie breeder in Roanoke, Va in April of 2005. He's super smart and was practically house broken at 8 weeks old! Tenzing is a real adventurer, aside from hanging out in our huge yard and chewing on sticks, he loves hiking and exploring in the woods, running on the trails, hanging out with friends at the dog park (especially those who like to play chase). Tenzing has also been kayaking, boating and swimming in the Chesapeake Bay. He loves to run and he's really quick, so I nicknamed him the "Speeding Bullet", because that's what he looks like when he runs toward you with his long skinny nose. When he's not out running around, he's a very calm dog and can usually be found trying to snuggle.
Bio:
He's named after this really cool sherpa guy, Tenzing Norgay. Tenzing and Edmund Hilary made history in 1953 when they were the first ever to summit Mt. Everest. Pretty amazing!
