Hello Mommy!
It's Duke. It's beautiful where I am now, and they're letting me write some letters to you, to let you know I'm okay. I'm making some nice friends, like Midnite! I didn't even know he existed until I came here and he told me he used to live with you. He's a nice kitty.
I just wanted to tell you I'm fine and not to mourn to much for me. I watch over you every day, and I keep you safe. I was with you when the thunderstorm was right over your house, right in your arms. I'm always with you.
Be good, listen to what Mom and Dad tell you, and remember me always!

Oh Dukester, you cutie. I wish you were still here with me and everybody else. I remember with a broken heart, you barking at the door whenever we left you. And those special moments when everybody went shopping, except me because I was to lazy to get out of bed, and you would come downstairs and snuggle in the blankets with me. You were the sweetest doggie ever, Dukester. I know you never meant to hurt anyone, puppy. You would never hurt a fly.
Someday we'll see each other again, I'm so sure. And when that day comes, I'll be so happy.
Have fun with Bugger, Toby, Midnite and the others, okay? Many hugs and kisses to you, puppy.
