Reminiscence

With thoughts in mind of days gone by,
Too fast it seems each moment flies.
From puppyhood to old age, each day you’d share
Became a gift from God in answer to my prayer.

For each lesson you taught on patience and freedoms,
Eternal thanks for guiding me from life’s demons.
Though embraced no longer in my arms since your depart,
For you each day, a space and time I hold within my heart . . .
