My new puppal Jasmine, my sister in ears BOL and her lovely mama and her wonderful brother tagged me this morning! What fun!!
Name four jobs that you've had.
1. Obedience training. Mama says, "It's time to work!" and I must heel to her left and we do a couple of rounds of obedience exercises. Really the job is as PR spokesperson for mama's trainer. I've gotten him about 5 new clients because people want to know how I've been trained!
2. Policing rowdy dogs. When I see a tangle of dogs I want to run in there and break it up. Especially if they involve one of my friends. Mama says it's not my job to do that, but what does she know?
3. Alerting mama to "strange shapes and monsters" on the night time walks. The streets of Brooklyn can be tough, yo, I have to protect my family.
4. Toe warmer. Sometimes our building's heat shuts down when it shouldn't and mama's tootsies get cold on the sofa so she digs them under my belly. They tickle a little, but I bear with it, because, you know, I'm cool like that.
Four places where you have lived or stayed.
1. Carroll Gardens in Brooklyn - when I first came home with my mama, she lived in a small two-bedroom ground floor apt. She had a roommate who had a cat named Fester, but we called him BoBo. I was so scared of BoBo but I really did love him.
2. My then dad's apt in Prospect Heights Brooklyn. Mama and her then boyfriend spent a lot of time at his place, and I would stay there with them. It was a big apt, but man the downstairs doggy Mr Fluffy was MEAN to me! He was the biggest pomeranian I've ever seen, and he would run out of the apt to the landing and yell at me. I would squeal and run away.
3. My current apt in Clinton Hill Brooklyn - I love it! It's just me and mama now which is nice! It's small but it's sunny and comfortable. The only thing I don't like is that our neighbors across the hall and the ones upstairs have these tiny dogs who hate me. They bark all day, it drives mama crazy...
4. My auntie Sharon's house in Clinton Hill Brooklyn - Sharon walks me during the weekdays when mama is at work, in the afternoons. When mama had to go away for two weeks to visit family, I stayed with auntie Sharon and it was nice! She fed me raw like mama asked and she has a giant backyard! She took me to the park every morning and night so I could still play with one of my best friends there.
Four places where you have been.
1. Prospect Park in Brooklyn - all over! Sometimes mama sneaks me off the leash up in the wooded hill area even though technically we can't go off leash there. I'm good and romp around the pathways. I chased a bunny in the long meadow once at night, and I disappeared into the green belt off the meadow for a minute which scared mama but she called me and I came running back out.
2. The Manhattan Bridge! Sometimes mama takes me to work with her, so we have to walk over the bridge into the city. Wow the view from up there is amazing!!
3. Fort Greene Park. It's a nice park a bit small but we can go offleash during the sanctioned hours. One of my best friends lives near there.
4. Union Square in Manhattan. That's where mama first met me!! I don't remember the place much - it was very busy and there are a lot of smells! But that's where my foster auntie took me one saturday and mama found me that same day! Go figure!
Four places you'd rather be.
1. Upstate NY or somewhere in PA hiking with mama. She says we have to go this summer, since she's never had the chance to go hiking with me. I can't wait!!
2. Can't imagine where I would rather be. Somewhere where it's nice and sunny and cool and breezy with lots of rolling hills and grass and some trees to run around. Mama says one day we will leave NYC and go live in the country, with other Malinois, and I hope it happens!!
3. In a car, any car. Did I mention car? I love cars.
4. Dozing at the foot of our sofa resting my head on mama's lap while she watches a movie.
OK Now I'm going to tag...

Guess I'm IT again, BOL!!! But since I don't have opposable thumbs, you DO realize that my diary entries have been kindly transcribed and typed by my mama, who HAS opposable thumbs... So mama says, OK Summer, I can't play anymore, I'm at work, so your tag games will have to resume at another time. Sorry pups! Mama is so dull...

Risa the MOST AWESOME Herding Montana Dog tagged me! BOL! OK, again, here are the rules:
Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Dogs who are tagged, need to post in their Diary the rules & their 7 pawsome facts. Then choose 7 dogs to tag and list their names. Don’t forget to bark them a pmail that they have been tagged and to read your Diary, or, send them a fun Rosette announcing they've been Tagged!
And now more secrets abt me...
1. I like to belly crawl to the head of the bed where the pillows when I see the humans stirring. Mama always scratches my chin and says Good Morning Sunshine. Dad just likes to go WAH-WAH-WAH-WAH-WAH.
2. I am deathly afraid of Mr Fluffy our downstairs neighbor's pom. I KNOW he's there just TAUNTING me, so I make a mad dash down the stairs just in case. I mean, the door is shut and all, but, you know. You never know.
3. I caught a squirrel last Thanksgiving day! I shook him around like a toy, but never bit down on him, and mama, my evil controllling mama made me drop it! GRRR! The durned thing managed to live.
4. I hate all cats. Except my old Bobo, but we don't live with Bobo anymore after mama and I moved out from the old apartment share. He hated me anyway.
5. I HEART Cheesy poufs. I would do anything for a Cheesy pouf. And a bit of fried chicken.
6. I'm no longer allowed to play with tennis balls inside the house. Mama says it's to do with increasing my ball drive outdoors. GRRRR.
7. I like grumbling. GRRRRR.
This time, I'm tagging...
1. Kaiser
2. Kodi

The cuteus maximus Mocha Bear tagged me!! WAAOOOOOO I'm it! Now I've to tag other puppers!!
But first, I have to tell y'all da rules... Ahem, in my best rule-voice. Here goes:
Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Dogs who are tagged, need to post in their Diary the rules & their 7 pawsome facts. Then choose 7 dogs to tag and list their names. 1. My best friend is my MEDIUM red Bad Cuz. I broke his squeaker in the first 15 mins we met, but Mama says, never mind, he talked too much anyway. I sometimes take him to dine with me on my feed towel, and I always offer him some, but for some reason, he doesn't seem like he's hungry. I wonder why he hasn't lost any weight.
2. When I do my recall, sometimes I swing my body sideways instead of sitting front and center. I can't help it. I feel like I may as well go straight to the Heel and Sit Finish right? I mean, I'm going to get a treat anyway!? Or the ball? So why bother with the Front Sit? Humans - give them a yard, and they want a mile. Sheesh.
3. I HEART my real furry pal Rio. Rio is a lovely Rhodesian Ridgeback who is slightly older than me. Her dad and my mama have been friends for like ever, but because her dad moved to a new place closer to me and mama, we get to see them more often! YAY!
4. I got my CGC last Sunday (May 20, 2007)!!!!!!!! Read the next diary entry for more details!!
5. I sing ONLY when mama and dad are singing. Otherwise, when I hear wolves on the telly whenever mama the nature-documentary-watching nerd watches her nerdy nature documentaries, I only turn my head and look with interest at them, but don't feel like I need to join in.
6. I'm a very picky raw eater. But that said, when Mama does this very annoying thing like she's going to take away my food and NOT FEED ME, I start chowing down like a champ. Sigh. I keep hoping it's tripe night, but apparently, tripe night can't be every night. Double sigh.
7. The only dogs I will share my water tray with in the park are Diego, who is my bf and his sister Carly, who doesn't play with me, but we like to bump behinds and chew sticks together.
OK, I shall now tag:
1. Meridian
2. Indy
3. Mickey
4. Gio
5. Darby
6. Fudge
7. Mattie

Mama has been home for this past week... She said her boss gave them a whole week and a half off work... Crazy! But dad hasn't been around, which is sad. He had to go back to Pittsburg to see his family, and he ain't too happy about that. I miss him some, but then again, I get to spend all week with mama and that be fun!
So every morning, we've been to Prospect Park. Mama says she likes to see me running off leash. I say, I LOVE being off leash so much, who cares what mama likes! AWOOOOOO! She's been threatening to bring the camera with us so she can shoot some video of me bouncing around like a hooligan.
I dunno though. I'm kinda tuckered out from all the early morning bouncing around. I mean, yeah, fetch is AWESOME! What's more awesome is stealing another dog's ball!! Yeah!! But there's this annoying thing mama says, (I can't even say it without wanting to cry, so I'll just whisper it... the word is o..u..t...! EEP!!) and everytime she says it, I feel compelled, YES COMPELLED! to spit out whatever is in my mouth! Dang, mama!! I DID SO want that squirrel!! Why'd you have to say that word so I dropped him!?! (Mama says to tell you all, since I never really told a lot of pups, that on Thanksgiving day I caught me a squirrel, but then she said OUT, and I had to drop the confounded thing. He lived. DAMMIT!) Anyway, long tail short, I'm all sleepy from this daily offleash romping time.
Last night, I had some raw turkey breast. Hmm. Not quite as good as leg O' lamb, but considerably better than raw chicken. Still though. FISH. Yeah. That hit da spot! :)
Happy Nuuuu-Woooooooo-woooooo year!!

To Summer my love,
Do you remember, my little girl? How you came into my life? You were 3 months old of wiggly butt and warm puppy kisses, placed into my happy yet uncertain arms. But it was as if you knew I was the one. You placed each paw around my neck and nuzzled your warm wet dark nose into my shoulder and lapped my ear. And then I knew too, just the way you were trying to tell me, that you were meant for me, and I for you.
And then, do you remember, my puppy sweet? How you made my life change just like that? You terrorised my pant legs and my arms, your leash, by jumping and nipping and playing. You played with such full abandon, as you do now, but now your nips are kinder, sweeter, as if to say, Mama, I'm nipping you gently to remind you, you belong to me, and I to you.
And do you remind yourself daily, my happy roo, how life is good because you are strong and happy and learning all the time? You have your good girl days and your holy terror ones, but every day is an adventure with you, and I'm learning just as you are. We're the best team together, we're stronger than the sum of our parts.
My days revolve around you, and my nights are sweeter because you are here. You teach me the meaning of patience, and what it means to be in love no matter what. You make me a stronger better lighter happier nicer person day after day, and for that, you have my eternal gratitude. You are my first and my only, and I love you more every heartbeat. Thank you my love. This is a special Tail of Devotion
 See All Tails of Devotion

Our trainer Uncle Lee says I should be making more progress... Poor mama doesn't know what she is doing wrong. I was still pretty lungey towards doggies who weren't allowed to say hi to me...
So mama said, OK Summer, it's time to do some extra work on our training.
we've been practicing our Downs in mid play. Sometimes before mama throws the bad cuz, she says DOWN! quickly. I showed her! I slammed myself against the ground! Mama jumps up and down and squeals with excitement! And then she throws the cuz!! The best thing we've been learning is Out. Out means whatever I have in my mouth I must surrender immediately in exchange for a lovely piece of freeze-dried lamb lung... mmmmmmmm................ lamb lung......................
I'm getting really good at my Outs! Mama says other people sometimes use Drop It but she likes Out because it's easy to say, and it's short and sharp like all good word commands are!
Out is waaaaaayyyy cool... Especially since it means lamb lung is coming..... mmmmmmmmmmm.....
In other news, i got new toys - two new medium sized bad cuzs (I broke their squeaker in 10 mins flat!), and a toy named Winston (he's a green doggie. I've never seen green doggies before.) We also got me thie hedgehog that has a slit in her belly, and she's got three oval eggs inside! I gut her and pounce on the eggs like the mousies in dad's house. (I've killed TWO mousies already and mama and dad are so proud of me that I didn't eat them! Just pounced on them and squished them flat!) Oh I also got this GIGANTIC rubber ball with a handle. It's so weird. But I like it. And an orange sheepie and a platypus, and a white cow. I like the hedgehog best of all.
Ok. I'm pooped. I'ma gonna lay down and chew on my deer antler for a bit. Smell ya later! :)

Bonjour!
I'm practicing my Belgian. Mom says to shutup they speak FRENCH in Belgium. Not Belgian. I said whatever mom.
I'm turning into quite the almost-grownup brattwurstdoggy - meaning bratty, spoilt rotten, worst dog in the whole world.
Actually, Mom seems to think I'm an angel and doing better everyday with our training. She doesn't know yet. I just looked up the word Machiavellian in the dictionary, and MWAH-AH-AH... I'm really planning to take over the world. I'll start with Brooklyn...
Anyhoo - this past week was HUGE! I got, let's see, 3 new collars! You can see one in my newest pictures! Then Mom got me deer antlers as chewie things! I LOVE THEM.
Then Mom got herself a new camera, but really, it's for taking pictures of my pretty self... She just doens't understand yet, but one day she will. She is my slave...
THEN - the BIGGEST NEWS - I started eating raw!!!!!!!!! Oh... I love my mommy - she FINALLY sees that this is the way nature intended for me to eat... It's so awesome!!! You can see pics of me chowing down on my first raw meal - three raw fresh whiting fish... Mmm I love fish.
And lastly, this past week was the Summer solstice - the first day of Summer - MY DAY!!! Hurray!!! I REALLY should be ruler of whole dominian. You guys just don't understand how the world would be a better place if I were in charge. But one day you will...
MWAH-AH-AH!!! Thanks puppers for stopping by! Come back soon!!

Arf-woo-woo!
Mom says I've been doing real well lately... I don't know what she means. I'm still doing what I want to do! although I've been finding out more and more that what I want to do involves Mommy... Hmm.
We've been playing tug A LOT on the street. I really love it when we play tug! I give mom the biggest doggy toothy grin with the hanging tongue and all!
Sometimes Mom uses our tug to play Dance with Me. She likes to do this when I'm really excited about biting the tug. She says this excitement means my drive is high. If she manages to get it loose from me, she flicks it high up, and I try to jump to get it, but she won't let me, and when I sit, she says GOOD GIRL!! UP!!!!! which means I can jump on mom. Then she lets me bite the tug, and she keeps it high on her chest, and she starts to run backwards. Mom looks completely insane. But I like this game. We try to run down half a long city block. One time I managed to keep with Mom that whole way!
Mom says this helps to reinforce our connection to each other. I just like doing it because it's fun. Also, mom is using this game to teach me Ok Off - which is when I jump and she doesn't want me to and she wants me off.
Anyway, wanted to write some more on our training. Mom says to make sure I include that this is FUN for her too. I told her, WHAT??!!??? I thought this was all about me!!! Oh well...
Woofs and licks all round!
