So, today we cleaned house. I did everything I could to help: licked the carpet, licked the windows, brought some of my toys out and arranged them in a pile only a Bichon could appreciate. Then Dad went out and got us lunch! I had the burger with nothing on it...my favorite!
After that, Mom went to her office and cleaned some more, while Dad got out the very loud Dyson. I told him I had already licked the carpets, but NOOOOOO!!! Anyhow, needless to say, I'm traumatized, but I should be over that soon. Leftover burger for dinner!
I love cleaning day, but it does leave me ready for an early bedtime.

I heard Dad talking on the phone last night. He was smiling and laughing, which I figure means that Mom is FINALLY coming home! I know they think I don't understand English, but honestly, next to the difficult languages of the many, many dogs out there, English is delightfully simple.
So, when Dad leaves this morning to go pick up my Mom, I'm gonna break out a cigar--the pawrents call them Dentabones (cute, huh?)--and celebrate!!
Like I have been saying, I miss my Mom! I was lost, but now I'm found!! Oh boy, Oh boy!!!

I like to think. I'm a Bichon Frise after all! Both my pawrents are writers and they have taught me to love words. So, when I do that slight little grunt as they eat their turkey bacon, it's not because I want turkey bacon, it's...okay, it's because I want turkey bacon! But I also wish I could talk when I do that. I am really trying to say stuff like "That Dostoevsky was a great novelist" or "I'm opposed to war philosophically." Then again, I'm inspired to think that a nice omelet would go well with that turkey bacon. IT'S TURKEY BACON!!!!!!!!!!!!!
