Arrival Story:
I walked into PetSmart to see a shelter volunteer trying to comb out a small animal with black fur. There didn't seem to be eyes, or a nose, or anything. I suggested the use of scissors and walked away. I came back later to discover she had made little to no progress with the comb. After a little searching I found two bright eyes, and a nose. My first thought was, she'd be cute with a good cut, and she sure was. When I brought her back a few hours later the volunteer didn't recognize us. Fred is named Fred because she didn't respond to Ethel (who really blames her)

Bio:
Fred's human is the presdient of Missing Pet Parntership, a nonprofit organization who's goal is to educate people on how to find their pets when they end up missing. We also hope to educate shelter workers, volunteers, and rescue groups in the scientific methods we use to train the dogs to find missing pets. Fred is not in the program, but she is very supportive, and whenever the board president has a bad day, Fred is always there to cuddle with and lick the stress away.
