Arrival Story:
Joey was a parvo puppy whose owner could not afford treatment so I adopted him and gave his owner a kitten of mine. At the time I was afraid of the reputation of pit bulls[now i know that pit bulls pass the canine good citizen test (see how your favorite breed fares in this AKC sponsered test here= http://www.atts.org/statistics.htm l) pit bulls do better than Lassie (Collies) mini Poodles, German shepherds and so on and so on...--pit bulls have an 83% passing rate in this temperament test] and also wanted a dog that was not too big for me to carry if he was hurt or sick, but he has turned out to be wonderful and very very intelligent---I think it is the Rhodisian Ridgeback in him . [He has a ridge of fur running opposite the rest on his back]

Bio:
He is too smart for his own good and he opened a closed spring loaded gate got out and got hit by a big truck ---it took months for him to heal and walk normally then he got Myasthenis Gravis a year after that!---now he seems to have gone into "remission" as far as MG ---he is a stubborn survivor and a great dog!
