Arrival Story:
Bonsai needed a brother, so off to the pound went my folks to adopt me.. I am quite the gifted charmer, especially with the ladies (well, Bonsai might disagree with that).

When I was adopted from the Durham APS I tested positive for Heartworms. It's been a long road and I've been one bored doggie, but I'm Heartworm-free now and ready to play! On July 29, 2006 I was the doggie portrait at Mr. Merrill did a superb job:

How very exciting. Mr. Merrill definitely captured my youthful exuberance!

Life's a Beach

So, about a week ago I went for my very first trip to the beach with the folks and Bonsai.

Bonsai and I had a BLAST at the Outerbanks. Now, I realize I'm not a cat and don't use a litter box, but I must say, the beach is like one HUGE litter box and I loved pooping in it. When I would kick up sand to cover it the sand would fly every where, it was awesome. Unless you were mom of course. Then it wasn't awesome. Because then you would get an eye full of sand when you bent over to scoop.

Oh well, sucks for mom.

We went to Buxton Woods and I saw soooooo many snakes and got up close and personal with two turtles.

Oh well, now everything is back to normal. I miss the beach, but it is nice to run around the backyard without a leash.

Heartworm Free is the Way to Be!

I can play! I can run and jump and be my crazy zany self. No more solitary confinement for "my own good." Posh.

The first thing I did after being declared heartworm free was to get a bath. I wasted NO time getting outside and rolling around in the grass afterwards (see my primary photo).

I've been having so much fun chasing Bonsai and being chased by Bonsai. She's a fun sister and runs pretty fast, but I run faster. She can stop and turn on a dime though, I'm jealous.

This Easter weekend to celebrate we're going to a park!. I am so excited!
