My Life Story

I Am Born

My name is Walker and I was born on February 16, 2005. I was a pet shop puppy so my Mom and Dad were more than likely puppy mill dogs. I was four months old and living in a pet store in Annapolis when two ladies came in with a dog and came over to the window to look at all the puppies. I think I was asleep in the crate, I didn't have much space to play in those days.

I heard one of the two ladies exclaim, "There's my dog named Walker!" I didn't know what that meant but the next thing I knew I was out of my crate and meeting these two nice ladies! I thought for sure they were going to take me home, they seemed to like me a lot. Instead, I heard them both say goodbye and I was put back in my crate.

About an hour later they were both back again and asking to see me! They had another dog with them. I learned later that this was Canuck and he was alpha and they wanted to see how we got along. We must have done okay because I never went back into my old crate again. I had found my forever home. I was named Ranger Walker, after one of my Mom's favorite TV action heroes. But my friends can all just call me Walker!
