IT'S THANKSGIVING TAG!!!!
Here are the rules:
Because it’s Thanksgiving time, there is a change to the rules. Each player needs to tell seven special things they are thankful for. Tagged dogs must post the rules in their diary and their 7 thankful things. Then choose 7 pups to tag and list their names. Let them know by pawmail or rosette that they have been tagged and to read your diary for the instructions on how to play!
1. I am thankful that I have two Moms that love me very much!
2. I am thankful that I have brothers and sisters to play with!
3. I am thankful that I get great food, clean water and excellent medical care when I need it.
4. I am thankful that I usually get picked to go on the long road trips!
5. I am thankful for the big pool in our back yard that I love to swim in!
6. I am thankful for all my new Dogster pals!
7. But most of all, I am thankful that I am one of God's creatures and that He loves me too!!!
And now I tag Duke, Leroy, Hula, Murphy, Reesee, Annabelle Lea and Hedwig!

Hi, folks! Got lots to tell you still about my life, but I thought I'd break in here and let everyone know that we have a new guest at our house! Her name is Thelma, she is 5 years old and she was recently pulled from a puppy mill. She is called a "foster" and she is only going to be at our house temporarily. My Moms do this "fostering" thing for a Col. Potter. She is not in very good shape, weighing only 8 lbs. but my Mom says they are committed to helping her put on weight, get healthy and looking good so that she can find a Forever Home soon! Rosie and Cinnamon were guests at our house at one point, too, but somehow they managed to stay forever! They, too, came from puppy mills. Keep good thoughts for Thelma!

Hello, everyboy! My name is Canuck. I am a 4 1/2 year old cairn terrier; you know, the little dog made famous in the Wizard of OZ! I am friendly, frisky, love people and love to play! I am also a service dog. Twice a month I visit an adult day care center where I bring joy and lots of smiles to the folks that are there for the day. Some of them even bring me treats!!!
Anyway, let me tell you all about myself, starting from the beginning!
I was born July 24, 2001 and I really can't remember where. You see, I really came from a puppy mill Mom (snif, snif) and shortly after I was born I was taken away from her and brought out to Maryland and to a pet shop. And there I sat in a cage for quite some time.
Then one day these two very nice ladies came into the store. They didn't really look like they were looking for a puppy to buy....But then one of them, her eyes lit right up when she looked into my cage!!!! I got so excited when she asked the shopkeeper if she could have a look at me and when she picked me up it was love at first sight. She was smiling and laughing, then the other nice lady picked me up and hugged me and kissed me. I thought I was dreaming, like I was in heaven or something!
Then something awful happened. They handed me back to the shopkeeper, I was put back into the cage and they left the shop! I was so sad, I cried myself to sleep that night wondering what it was about me they didn't like. I just couldn't figure it out, they both seemed to have fallen in love with me. Oh, well, I thought, maybe soon someone else would come by, fall in love with me and this time take me home to live with them!
I think I'm dreaming! I must be dreaming! But no, wait, I do hear their voices againg! I'm right!!! The two nice ladies are back!!! Well, I better not get too excited. They may not be here for me at all! They sure are doing a lot of talking with the man that takes care of this place. Look, guys! They're walking over in my direction, I think! Aren't they? Yes! Yes! Here they come! The man is opening up my cage door and he's handing me to the nice lady, the one that saw me first!!!
And I never saw that cage again! The two nice ladies, now my Mamas, and me walked out into the sunshine and off we went! I was going home!
Well, that's all for now! More later on!
