Arrival Story:
I was lucky to be at the Chicago Anti-Cruelty very early in the morning. I walked through the kennel area and noticed her and a puppy together. I was not interested in two dogs, so I looked at another dog. I came back and noticed the puppy was not in the kennell. She and the puupy had been abandoned in an apartment building in Chicago. They told me at the shelter that she would never eat until the puppy was full. They had to take the puppy away before she would eat anything. Long story short, the puppy was adopted and is named Monday, and my dog Carly is the greatest soul ever. She brings me great comfort and joy!
Bio:
I have owned other dogs before, but never have I known a dog with such intense eyes. We give each other looks and we know what the other wants. I try not to look at her in the morning, or she will make me get up by licking my face. Also, when she is on a critter chase, her eyes are so intense and focused.
