 Quick Bio:
Likes: Eating grass and weeds outside, chewing on greenies (though they are forbidden because it makes my poopie gross), being chased outside by his brother, and thinking he's in charge around the house

Pet-Peeves: Teeth brushing, the cat that lives upstairs, when my parents take showers (they just disappear behind that curtain and that makes me mad!) and little dogs (who do they think they are anyway?)

Favorite Toy: Mini tennis ball, rawhide, and the occassional random sock

Favorite Food: Anything and everything, especially goodies that fall on the floor while Mommy cooks

Favorite Walk: Anywhere there's lots of smells and grass to eat

Best Tricks: Going to bed (the kennel)

Arrival Story: After much research, my husband and I knew the papillon would be the best breed for us. We found a reputable breeder in Texas (where we lived at the time) and visited her current liter. There were only two pups left and one had a broken tail. Dende was outgoing and craved our attention, so brought him home at 3 months old.

Bio: Dende has a cousin that we got from the same breeder (though we say they are brothers), his name is Krillin. The boys' names were derived from the anime show Dragonball Z.

Forums Motto: Dende - biggest little guy

Wisconsin has finally thawed and Mom let's me and brother play outside for longer. The snow has uncovered all kinds of great things to sniff and eat, especially delicious rabbit droppings! But shhh, don't tell Mom that we eat those when she's not looking.
Yesterday Mom was cleaning out the flower beds in the front of the house and had us locked up in the backyard. I could see her, but how did I get TO her? Well, I'll tell you! I found a small hole somewhere in the fence and ran all the way around the house and surprised her! Boy was she surprised that a tubby puppy like me could go under the fence!
As she was bringing me inside, my brother Krillin came running around the front of the house. He used my trick and followed me through the fence. Mom thought it was cute and told us we were good boys because we came running right to her instead of out into the neighborhood looking for trouble.
Also this weekend, we took a walk and saw another papillon in our neighborhood - how exciting! Mom is "training" us to behave when we see another dog, so she didn't let us sniff the other dog just yet. Mom's been watching 'The Dog Whisperer" on TV and has been really strict on us lately. She says that she is the "pack leader" - not me. Yeah right!
Well, this is just another day in the life of a Pap like me. Good bye!

I knew it was coming, but I didn't know when. There comes a time every year when I have to get dressed up like a goon for the Christmas card picture. The first year they covered me in blinky lights and I had only just learned how to sit still for seconds at a time. I got lots of cheese treats during that photo shoot. The second time I was with my brother, Krillin, and they wrapped us up in red garland. We both sat very pretty in front of the Christmas tree (in exchange for massive treats, of course). But this year, Mom really did a number on us.
Mom bought a little Santa Claus outfit on sale after Christmas last year. That was meant for me, since Mom says I'm "pudgy", whatever that means. I think I wore the Santa outfit because I'm the biggest, baddest dog in the house and I'm the man in charge, just like Santa's in charge at his house in the North Pole. Krillin got to wear a collar with a white furry halo attached. He's the goon, I tell ya. Mom thinks Krillin is her perfect little angel - ha!
I am so excited that Mom and Dad are taking us to Texas next week. I get to see my Grandma and Grandpa and play outside in the warmer weather. I'm so sick of the snow and the cold. I only have time to go do my business before my feet start hurting because of the cold.
Mom was sick yesterday and stayed home all day with us. We sat on her lap under the blanket all day long. We only had to move a few times when she got up for food and medicine and when she forced us to go outside for potty time. I wish Mom and Dad were home all the time, but they have to leave us most days to go to work and we're left all along in our kennels for a long time. Sometimes Mom's friends come to let us out if she's going to be gone a long time. That's fun because they usually give us way more treats than we normally get.
Another day in the life of a pap like me...
