Going for rides in the car, burrowing under blankets, eating chicken, or any people food, laying on daddy's pillow, being petted and cuddled, and singing when I sing Beethoven's "Fur Elise"

Pet-Peeves:
Strangers, thunderstorms, being told to move off the couch or bed, lightning, the sound of rain, children who tease her, the vet, the vet's assistants, and having to sleep alone

Favorite Toy:
her squeaky monkey, her Booda who is now gone, since Peppy ripped her innards out, her squeaky lamb, and a garden glove

chicken, ham and cheese loaf, peaches, chicken nuggets, dog chocolate (Chockolicks), peanuts, peanut butter, stolen candy

Favorite Walk:
Down the road, make a stop at the corner to wee-wee, get up on the sidewalk, turn right, walk 30 paces, sniff, go poopy, in the same area, every time, then, go to the corner, sniff the lightpole, turn around, and come home. EVERY TIME, SAME THING!!!

Best Tricks:
lay down, Give me a kiss, fetch the toy monkey, standing on her back legs and whining so we'll pick her up, standing still after a walk, until I unhook her leash

Arrival Story:
We were looking for a Chihuahua, and found a good breeder in the local paper. We drove to Peppy's place of birth, met her mom and dad, and chose her out of the litter. She was so sweet and cute, and attached herself to us immediately! (She takes after her dad, though, fierce and angry, really protective of her family!) We took her right to the vet's, and they had to de-bug the poor baby! She had ear mites, fleas, and worms. Now, though, thanks to using Advantage, she has not had fleas in years, and never any other doggie pests. Peppy followed me around, and attached herself to me, immediately, and it has been true love ever since. She only has eyes for me, my husband, and one other family member. That's it. All others are treated as enemies.

Bio:
She's very protective of her immediate family members. Watch out if she doesn't know you! WOOF WOOF WOOF! She WILL bite! Peppy also loves to hang out of the car window at stop lights, and bark at other drivers! She also likes to look out the windows, for kitties to bark at. She's an excellent watchdog, can hear someone walking up the driveway! She also loves to sit in my lap, every minute she can. She loves to sit in my lap, or against my arm, or on my head, or on my husband's chest. Peppy likes tummy rubs, and to be carried around the house. She would live in a baby carrier front pack if I let her. Very loyal dog. Always there for me.

The New Neighborhood Dog

A new dog lives next to me! I don't like it!
(I think it's a Pomeranian; it looks like it stuck it's paw-toe
in a light socket!)
It barks BACK at me, and that makes me soooo mad, that I kick up dirt
with my tough hind legs, when I'm showing this Pomeranian who's boss.
I'M THE BOSS!
It yaps, which sounds ridiculous to all the other neighborhood dogs....
I say a much more dignified RUFF, RUFF! Silly little
Pom. huh!
My owner lifted me up so I could see the new little dog real well, and I
got even more angry! All the fur on my backbone stood up, and I strutted
back and forth at my fence, with my scary stick-up fur!
I growled and snarled at the new dog, and it backed up a little.
GOOD!
Silly old fluffy-head Pomeranian!

Well, gotta patrol my fence line again.

Grrrrrr!

The Fun Trip

Today my lady owner took me for a ride in the car. I was worried at first,
because sometimes she drives me to the dreaded vet's office, but, this time,
we drove past that place. {{{{ WHEW!}}}}}
We drove and drove, then when I got out of the car, I got to sniff around and water the grass,
then, she put me in a blue shopping cart! What's going on?

We walked into this big store, called PetSmart, and I went absolutely nuts, barking
at all the other dogs. No other dogs were in carts, and I felt like I was being treated
like a baby, cause I think the other dogs were snickering at me.
I just barked harder and growled at every dog I saw.
I barked so hard I left tootsie rolls in the shopping cart!
Bark! tootsie roll!
Bark! tootsie roll!
Bark! tootsie roll!
Bark! tootsie roll!
My lady owner had to get some paper towels, after my barking frenzy!

Well, we bought me some pig ears, which I love, even though they're
almost as big as me. I barked at the cashier, and some man was
laughing at me, and he came really close to me, I was barking my
warning!
Bark! Bark! Bark! Bark! Bark! Bark!
My lady owner told him, very firmly, "She will BITE you! I guarantee it!"
Then he backed off.
Shucks!
I was going to nip a nice chunk out of his hand, if he had gotten a little closer!
Grrrr!
We got home, and my lady owner fed me, then we sat on the floor.
She unwrapped my giant pig ear, and held it for me, while I chewed on it.
Chew, chew,chew,
chew, chew, chew,
chew, chew, chew,
(((rest!!!)))))))
Chew, chew,chew,
chew, chew, chew,
chew, chew, chew,
((((((rest!)))))
I finally gnawed a bit of the ear off, and ate that.

That was my big day today! I'm sooooo tired!
All that barking and chewing has worn this little Chihuahua out!

Time for a nap!!

Good and bad for me

Today was another glorious day! My lady owner was so attentive to me!
She petted me, and held me in her arms like a little baby, and gave me
some special dog cookies baked at a pooch boutique.
I loved it!
I did my famous, heartstring-tugging trick, which is:
"Faint when she comes into the room".
Here's what I do:
I hear her coming, so, as soon as she looks at me, I roll over on my back,
and put my paws in the air, and thump my little tail ever so gently,
glancing at her.

She always falls for my trick, and comes over, and ruuuuubs my little
pink belly, and scratches me under my neck. I breathe softly, and
roll my eyes around like I'm almost asleep.
If she stops rubbing me, I flip over and stand up in a flash, and start to
whine.

Aren't I a smart, manipulative pup?

Another thing we did together today is go to her greenhouse. She grows flowers and vegetables, in that greenhouse, so, I trot alongside her, escorting her to the door of her plant palace, then, when she's inside, I patrol the area, for dangerous things like lizards, cats, and bugs.
After she was finished fussing with her plants, we went inside.

Then,

the BAD THING HAPPENED!!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My lady owner said I was stinky, (and I heartily DISagree with her)

and she gave me a BATH!

Ever notice how the words bad and bath both begin with the same 2 letters?
I HATE BATHS!
I like to be stinky!

The other dogs laugh at me when I smell
all fru-fru-ey, after she soaps me up, and puts that stupid dog perfume on me.

YECH!

After the bath, I ran around the house, and tried to rub the lather soapy smell off me. I HATE BATHS!

************************************************** *******

Well, I'm calmed down now, I found some old towels and dirty laundry to lay on, so, that's a good thing for me.
All is well.
