Bio: UPDATE: Sadly, the man who adopted Lestat/Gage, has to find a new home for him. He works crazy hours and feels that he just can't give the dog the time he deserves. It has been a difficult decision, but I have promised to find an exellent new home. Is it yours??
--------------------------------
He is a wonderful, amazing dog. Very sweet and affectionate but not needy. Energetic and playful but not hyper. He is very handsome and, at 90 pounds, he's on the small side for a Rottie. He has been through a lot (see his story) but he is still calm and trusting. This boy deserves an amazing forever home. Everyone who has meet him has been charmed off their feet - are you next??

HI! I’m Lestat and I’m a very sweet boy. The vet thinks I’m about 3, but I’m not telling. I’m small for a Rottie and a little skinny right now, but my ideal weight is about 90 pounds. Did I mention that I’m very sweet?
I was running with a pack of dogs when I was rescued. Turns out I had heartworm but I’ve been to the vet and had that looked after, got all my shots too. In a couple of weeks, I’ll go back to get "noodered". I don’t know that word, wonder what it means?
I’m staying with a nice family now. They have a toddler and 6 pets already (!). They LOVE me, but want me to get more attention than they can give. I really, really love to be with people. Did I mention…? Oh, yeah.
I’m pretty good with kids, but get a little too excited about toddlers - I forget how big I am sometimes. I get REALLY excited about cats! I probably shouldn’t live with them unless my new person is an experienced dog handler. I like dogs a lot. The dogs at my foster home are very concerned that I know who’s in charge, and I’m cool with that. I’m very sweet, you know.
I’ve already figured out the whole housetraining thing. The foster lady says I’m very smart and she loves my temperament. I’ve already learned to sit and halt and I almost never pull on the leash. I would love to go to obedience classes with my new person. I’m playful but not hyper. I guess that’s a good thing.
I’ll be ready to go to a new home in mid-December, but my foster family says they will be happy to keep me until after the holidays.
I hope I get a forever family soon.
