Leave a bone for Sophie (AKA The Sophinator) &

Sophinator, Cutie-Patootie

Quick Bio:
-purebred-service dog

December 22nd 2001

Sophie loves to be fussed and is very calm. Henry also loves to be fussed but he'd rather wrastle and play with a tugger toy for a while first!

Niether like fireworks or thunderstorms. both *love* dogs that are gentle with them. Sometimes big dogs 'squish' them and they do not like that. Henry does not like dogs getting in his face.

Favorite Toy:
Sophie loves (and cannot sleep without) her Muffin doll. She loves her grotty Santa doll, too. Henry likes any toy that Sophie is interested in - silleh puppeh.

Favorite Food:
They both love Greenies, chicken, fish, veggies, buttermilk pancakes with maple syrup and Sunday roast lunch! They both happily eat dry kibble as their main diet.

Favorite Walk:
Both love to go to Old Deer Park in Richmond or to walk along the Thames.

Best Tricks:
Sophie is a star performer: she can 'sit', 'lay down', 'shake' (give a paw), 'wave bye-bye', 'talk to me' (speak). Henry has not been as quick to pick up commands but is reliable in his recall, sit and down.

Arrival Story:
It took me well over 6 months to get Sophie 8 years ago and a further 6 months to get Henry 2 years ago. I searched for a long time and contacted many breeders before I found one that I felt held the best interest of her puppies above all else. I was meant to pick Sophie up on a Saturday but her breeder asked me to wait a few more days until Sophie weighed more than a pound (as she only weighed 15 oz at the time!). I have invested a *lot* of time socialising and training Sophie and she really seems to enjoy our sessions. She's clearly a better dog for it.

Sophie is a very fun Yorkie who tips the scales at 4 pounds! She has a big character and loves to meet new people wherever we go. When we were in Italy for a holiday, local people called her "Sophia"! We had a great time being good canine ambassadors for England. *****Sophie has a lovely (calm) nature and character. She enjoyed puppy socialisation classes and the next level of training as well. She loves her training sessions at home and is very motivated by treats(!). ***** She enjoys making people happy and frequently comes up and asks for a cuddle or a snuggle on the sofa -- she puts her head under my hand to let me know she wants some love. Henry is a very different Yorkie to Sophie. He is more active, typical Yorkie, than Sophie (who is quite calm and very quiet). Henry likes to 'talk' - cheeky monkey. He is a cheeky chap and I would not want him any other way. He loves his best doggie friend, Georgie and they can play and wrastle for hours and hours. It is great fun to watch them!

Forums Motto:
Sophie and Henry -*very* loved doggies.

*** Today is my birthday and I'm 4! ***

I am going to wear my special sweater that Deborah sent to me. It came all the way from California.

I'm going to work with my mummy and am excited to see my friends in the office. I am not sure, but I *think* I heard that we are going to have a little celebration today(!)

My mummy makes a very yummy chocolate cake. But, since I can't eat chocolate cake, I think we're going to have Krispy Kremes. My mummy will let me have a pea-sized piece of plain Krispy Kreme for an *extra-special* treat today.

On our way to work we are going to stop at Victoria train station and get a box of fresh doughnuts to share with our friends in the office. I'm very excited!

I love going on the train and I *love* special treats.

I hope you have a fun day, I know I will!

lots of hugs and birthday puppy kisses!
Sophie xx

Baby, it's cold outside

Hello to all of my doggie friends,

It is very cold in London right now and I hope you are bundled up and warm, wherever you are.

My mummy puts a sweatshirt on me before we go out into the cold. The way she sees it, if it is cold enough for her to wear a coat, I'd better wear one, too. My mummy is very clever.

This week I got a new sweater to keep me warm. It is *beautiful* and was a gift from my Grand-paw's girlfriend Deborah. I love Deborah.

The sweater is very snuggly and warm and I love it.

This is not the first sweater that the lovely Deborah has presented to me. A couple of Christmases ago, she got me a gorgeous red sweater when we were in Florence. I still love that sweater!

Today I went to work with mummy and saw lots of my friends. Mummy had lunch with a friend and brought me the leftovers! I had hamburger for my lunch. I'm a lucky girl!

I wish all dogs were as loved as I am.

woof, woof,
Sophie xx
