"A lovely, gentle, abandoned 3 year old speyed, black and white Pointer (English) bitch is desperately needing a permanent home. I have had you in mind and am wondering if you are ready for another dog? Daisy is yours if you want her."
This email arrived on 19 December 2003 only a couple of months after I lost my beloved Ebony, a chocolate Labrador, to cancer. I wasn't sure if I was ready for another dog so soon but I couldn't resist going to have a look. Daisy came to stay on 23 December - in theory "on approval" meaning I could return her if things didn't work out. But I don't think she really was 'on appro' for longer than 12 hours because she was so loving and willing to please. Absolutely the best Christmas present I've ever had.
Bio:
Daisy has celebrated the Red Sox 2004 World Series Win (see photo modelling her official World Series sweatshirt) and is also seen on this page modelling her new winter coat.
Daisy doesn't like getting up in the morning, as you will also see from her photo.
