It's time I set the record straight. Actually, I picked my human, she didn't pick me. There were nine of us running around and acting cute. As we all looked identical (save for the color of the ribbons around our necks), it would have been very hard for the humans to pick out the best puppy. So I took matters into my own paws and went over and laid down up against her side. She got the message, and my odyssey began.

My first trip consisted of almost six hours in an airplane cooped up in a carrier that was not big enough for me to stand up in going without food with occasional ice chips being pushed in through a small opening. I coped. This was in late September of 2001 and I was 2 mos. old.

Now I am three years old and much wiser. I know what my job is, and I take it very seriously. I have a very loud, scary bark which I employ every time someone comes to the door. I also like to jump up so they can see how large my body is through the window. I love the expression on people's faces! The UPS man likes to call when he gets close to the house and BEFORE he gets out of the truck! So does the oil delivery man. It's great!

I have two "siblings". Sparky is fun to tease, but I stay out the way of Sassy. She doesn't have much to say, but when she growls, she means it! Although she only weighs about 1/10 what I do, she will go after me in a minute! She takes my toys away all the time, and Mom lets her. I don't understand that!
