Arrival Story:
My mommy was 17 years old playing in a softball tournament in Millington, Michigan. The team was doing well and had a long break before the next game. So she went to a strip mall and shopped for a few with her parents and teammates. She saw this pet store and decided to go in. I was the only puppy dog in the whole store. The store owner heard her say how cute I was...so of course he took me out so she could hold me. I was only 8 weeks old and 2 1/2 pounds. I immediately licked her and cried like crazy just to get her attention more. Then the worker told her that I was only $130. My mommy had enough money. My mommy asked her mommy if she could get me. She said yes. Then it was time to ask daddy who was outside....he said no!! My mommy was so devasted after getting her hopes up from her mommy. So she cried the whole way home for 2 hours. The next day the softball team was doing well. When mommy wasn't paying attention grandma & grandpa (her parents) went out and bought me. They came back to the baseball field and surprised my mommy!!! She was oh so happy to have me. My first toy that I played with was of course a softball at the field! It was as big as I was! Mommy's softball team the "Michigan Lightening" ended up placing 2nd or 3rd in the tournament. My mommy has the trophy so that she will never forget what year I was born in! hehe. So I was named after the city and the tournament Millington! But they just call me Millie.
