Balla's Story
Balla's StorySeptember 13th 2008 5:14 am[ Leave A Comment ] Balla is Husky Howllow's youngest crew member. The evening of October 5th 2005 at the height of the snow, wind and bad visibility I arrived home with Balla (Celtic for Bailey). Balla was an 8 wk old husky mix who (we have coined his "breed" as Norway Houseky after his place of birth), along with his siblings, was rescued at 3 weeks of age and transported to Winnipeg and foster care after their mother was shot in the annual dog culling in Norway House. On the morning of October 5th, the foster group was moved to the Humane Society and one of my friends there contacted me to let me know the puppies had arrived. (I had been waiting for this litter to come up for adoption). We had been told by our animal intuitive friend (Cam Hill) that we would know when my dearly departed heart dog Bailey had returned to me in puppy form by looking into their eyes ... I would see Bailey reflected back at us. That's what happened. Balla gazed deeply into my eyes and there was Bailey, as she had promised. He also showered me with kisses - washing away the tears I couldn't stop from falling (another of Bailey's traits) After wiping away my tears, I filled out the papers and the newest member was on his way to his forever home.
