Arrival Story:
Scruffy was given to us in July of 2005, he's been a wonderful addition to our family. He and his brother Elvis are the very best of friends. We have had Scruffy for almost 3 years now, but it does seem as he's been with us always. We love him so much. Scruffy has completed our family. We got some bad news on Scruffys health in July of 2007, he was diagnosed with neurological disease as well as kidney disease. We felt pretty hopeless, but our Scruffers came thru like a trooper. He has very limited use of his left front paw and no use of the left rear, but he has adapted beautifully to using only two paws, he's amazing. We are controlling the kidney disease with diet and meds and with lots of love and attention we plan on many more happy years with Scruffy. This summer Scruffy will take his first trip to the beach, we can't wait!! Scruffy loved the beach and all the other great places we were able to take him. He's a very good traveler. We love him sooooo much.

Bio:
Scruffy passed away on Jan 26, 2009. Our hearts are broken, we miss him so much.

Forums Motto:
Is it midnight shift yet Dad???

Scruffy is the sweetest little dog on earth. He loves to give and get love, he is such a treasure to us. He is also a tough little guy, it really amazes us how he has adapted to life with the health challanges. He's the best....
