Arrival Story:
I was sitting in the front room working on the computer. The three dogs were sitting at the window watching the world go by. I notice smoething whiz by the window and the dogs start going crazy. A few minutes later, they go nuts again. Something tells me to look out the window, and sitting by the window is this little dog, shivering. I notice a collar, so I decide to see it there are any tags. I go to the front door, and the three dogs force it open all the way and run out to check out the visitor. Before I know it, they herd it into the house. I finally get a chance to check the dog out, and there are no tags. She's very small, and fits in the palm of my hand. I take her out and walk the neighborhood to see if anybody knows her. Nobody knows her, they only saw her that day wandering the neighborhood. Well, I bring her home and we go to the backyard, where Roy won't leave her side. I take a picture of her and make a poster where I place them all over the neighborhood, hoping someone will call. Several weeks go by, and no calls. I even call the local animal shelter with her description. No calls. So, we keep her. We had no clue what breed she was, so I take her to the vet to get her checked out. The vet tech goes "It's a Catahoula Dog!" I had no clue what that was, so we do some research. I also find out how she became "free." She likes to dig and play what I call "prison break." She'll escape from the backyard, wander the neighborhood, and end up either crying at the front door, or back door. She always comes back, so I think she feels at home.

All the dogs are jealous of each other, and demand attention. Lucky will jump into my arms, and the other dogs will disperse. She likes to sleep next to me - right next to me, her body wedged against mine. In the winter, Lucky will crawl under the covers and lay her head on my feet. If I move, she moves with me. Funny little dog. My wife calls her Klepto. Lucky likes to get into the bathroom and take anything that belongs to my wife.
