Arrival Story:
My wife saw a pet profile on TV, and felt that dog would be a good companion to Cleve. We went to the rescue foundation (the Amanda Foundation), and the dog was already being adopted. The staff brought out Nadia, and let them get acquainted.
Bio:
We knew Nadia would be the Queen right away - she jumped into the front passenger seat and sat like she owned it. My wife had to climb in back with Cleve.
Nadia also had been adopted and returned a couple of times, so she was pretty skittish around people and never get too close to us. That is until Roy came home to us. At first, she didn't want anything to do with him, and stayed in the backyard for two days (she is an indoor dog). Something happened, and on the third day, she came into the house, and started cleaning Roy (Roy didn't want anything to with the humans, he wanted to be with the other dogs). They were pretty inseperable for a while. Nadia now loves to cuddle, and will climb into my (or anybody's) arms.
