We miss you Hallie, and I hope someday we meet at the rainbrow bridge!

Life these past wonderful, horrible, amazing, shocking, and- unbelievable months.

So much has happened since my last entry - only 4 short months ago - that I don't even know where to begin or how to begin. I have wonderful news, horrible news, agility news - all sorts of new things, good and bad, have happened.

I suppose I must begin with the worst thing that's ever happened in my life - Sparky's death. The dog who taught me how to bark and say hello to every dog that walks by, to chase balls with a passion, and to swim in the snow...something no other IG I know does...has crossed the rainbow bridge. My brother, my friend, a member of our close-knit pack, killed by a huge monster that roared down our normally quiet road in the night. Mommy wasn't home, only her Dad was, and Sparky was helping Mommy's dad round up the chickens(yes, that's more news I have to tell you about), he was scouting around in the dim light, making sure the coast was clear. He brushed to close to the road, they said, and was hit - his nervous system rendered useless, he spent a painless half hour lying in the grass, Mommy's dad petting him and talking to him, realizing that no vet could possibly help him, reassuring him that all will be okay and that once across that bridge, he could round up all the chickens, chase all the balls, bark at all the dogs and play, play, play, to his hearts content until we all meet him there. That's where he is now, and though mommy, her family, Hallie and I all grieve daily for him, we know he's happy and keeping an eye on us down here. Mommy cried and cried for days, and I, Hallie and Quynn(Quynn is the wonderful news) were her comfort. It's the memories that heal, and Sparky will be forever remembered.

It's hard to simply leave this sad topic behind and go on to others, but I have something so wonderful to tell you, as well. On April 7th, my Border collie brother, Quynn, came home! He was eight weeks old then and has been thriving since - he'll be six months old on August 7th. I love him very much, and though he's certainly not Sparky he is a wonderful brother. He's learning Agility, has graduated from puppy class and loves mommy boundlessly, just like I did and do still. He's growing like a WEED - you can visit Quynn's page and learn ALL about him. :)

Guess what? There are LOTS of other animals here, now. There are these big white things that go BAAAAAA and eat, eat, eat all day long. They eat the grass in the field down to short little stubble and BAAAAAA at Mommy and the rest of the family. Quynn says they're his, and he calls them Sheep.
There are lots of little Chickens, too. I would like to chase them, but Mommy always tells me "Noooo" when I get that look in my eye. There are these really WEIRD looking birds with long necks and ugly faces, too, that Mommy calls "Guinea Hens". She says they eat the blood-sucking little insects that stick to us.
And there are these two tri-colored things that sound something like sheep, but don't look like sheep and are much smaller. They say "Maaaa" in high pitched little voices and they are scared of me, but they love Mommy almost as much as I do - they follow her everywhere! Mommy says they're "Kids", or baby goats. I kind of like them, but once I asked one to play and it ran away.

I have Agility news, too! I finished my CL1 title! We've been trialing quite a bit this summer and at Bo-gee on June 24th and All-dogs on July 1st, I Q'd every single run! We went to EMAC on July 27th and 28th, and I Q'd in 6 out of 8 runs - the Snooker run Mommy messed me up in. She was laughing at herself the entire weekend for it because she can't believe how dumb she was! Teehee. But I've been having a blast and Mommy says I'm very consistent when it comes to Q-ing, now. I can do all the obstacles now - even the teeter, and I don't need any help with weaves(have you seen my videos?) - and she says we're ready to start in NADAC and AKC! I am already registered with NADAC, and we were going to a NADAC trial in June, but they cancelled it. We were very disappointed, but there will be others.
Mommy says we're going to another trial in August. I can't wait! We were going to go to Alldogs Gym again on the 11 & 12, but they filled up on the first day! We didn't make it in, and neither did my AMBulldog friend, Abby. But, like I said, there will be others. We're planning on the Alldogs trial in November - we're determined to get in next time!

This is a very long entry, but I plan on trying to keep up from now on. Life has been ohsobusy, with Sparky gone, animals all around, and the new puppy. I'm going to convince Quynn to start a diary, too!

Talk to you soon!

Sadsad News...and some tail-wagging news, too

I have terrible news for everyone. I wanted to tell you a long long time ago, but we've been astoundingly busy and ever since STUPIDPOOPY dial-up, Dogster has been super slow. It's pawful.

But, I wanted to tell you this: Molly never came home. She's still with her breeder, and she always will be. We ran into some issues and decided Molly would be happiest where she is now, because of problems of her own. I felt like I knew her and was ohsosad when mommy told me what had happened. And on top of that I feel terrible for both letting you all down and not telling you sooner!

But mum is still promising me we WILL find us a new BC brother or sister out their somewhere. We have some cute little prospects, but as we've learned anything can happen, so we aren't getting our hopes up until puppy comes home! But we really can hope...this is looking promising. We'll have to replace Molly's profile with New Puppy's. That's a sad thing and a happy thing at the same time...it make my tail float but not wag.

Also, mum says there are going to be weird birds called CHICKENS living with us, soon! Mom says not inside, but out in the yard. She says they're almost as big as me and they cluck and lay eggs! Can you believe that? She says that soon after that their will be goats and maybe sheep!(Our new BC sibling can herd those)....and after THAT, maybe even horses. Can you believe it? Mom says there will be lots and lots of weird animals to NOT chase, all around. It will be hard, but maybe I'll make a new friend, instead?

Bark Soon,
Sierra

P.S. If you have an amazing doggy brain or a mommy who is pawesome at thinking up puppy names, PLEASE, paw-mail us with a couple! We'd really appreciate it...mum is having a hard time thinking of the perfect one for our future sibling. Male and female names both would be great! :D

Good morning!!

Today is a nice, beautiful, sunny Sunday morning. I will get up and streeetch, run outside in the snow to 'do my job' quickly, run back in and have a yummy breakfast. Then mommy will play with all of us, maybe a big game of tug, and then we'll have individual training sessions - my favorite part. I already know what we'll work on, I bet! Weaving in and out of mommy's legs, rolling over a couple times, spins, and then down to serious work. "Place" and "side" from a distance, and switching quickly. Recalls, longer downs, downs from a distance. We might even to "go table!" indoors for agility work. Then we'll do some touch practice I bet, and targeting will probably follow that. Yummy treats and toys as rewards the entire time, too! And the beautiful sound of that i-click - Click!! every time I do the right thing with a treat tossed in the air for me to catch. We'll probably finish up with a couple spins and weaves for fun. I LOVE to train!! My little wagger wags the entire time. Teehee.

Then, us dogs will probably wrestle around a bit, and if it warms up any, mommy and HER sister will most likely take us for a walk in the woods off-leash. We'll run around, sniff deer tracks and coyote tracks, run across the iced-over brook and spin in the snow. It should be fun!

And before mom leaves to go someplace shortly before noon, she's probably stretch me and give me a massage. She usually does this for Sparky in the evening after I go sleepy, and mom's sister does it for Hal. I love it when she does that.
And when she leaves, I'll plop myself in the crate for a warm, Sunday nap and sleep for a while until she gets home. If it's warm, we might go for another walk!! If not, then we'll probably play some more before mommy has to do some dumbdumb homework.

So today should be nice, full of fun and relaxation. :D

Bark soon!
Sierra

Disappointed....and yet still having fun....

See, I'm disappointed because of my new sister, Molly. She was supposed to come home last weekend, but issues came up at her breeder's...her current mommy hurt herself. Then she was supposed to come home this weekend, but MORE dumbdumb bad things came up that has put it off again. I was ohsoexcited. So now we must painfully wait for next weekend to come barking at the doggy door before we can see our new sister.

But life goes on and we do have fun. My silly golden friend, Coty, has been giving me lots of stars and pretty bloo rosettes and it's really cool of him. Bloo suits me, don't you think? Teehee. :D

And I have some good news - another TRIAL! We were going to try and get into one this month, but we were veryvery busy and mommy couldn't find a free weekend. She does lots of that thing she calls skee-ing, too, which takes up weekdays. And the one we wanted to make THIS month, mommy missed the postmark date and before she knew it was totally fulled up! I couldn't believe it and was a little sad. But Mommy said she would fix it - we are going to a trial NEXT month, and mommy is staying right on top of the postmark date. She knows now to stay on top of things. Teehee. I knew all along. If only humans could speak dawg.

So, a whole lot of waiting going on, but such PAWESOME things at the ends of the waits!

News flash: Molly has a new group for herself. It's called Herding Dawgs. Please, if you're a herding fanatic, it's the perfect group for you! She'd love to get it fast-moving with lots of experienced and novice dogs both, so that she can learn more about the sport. If dogs fail to participate then she may change it to a group called "Working Dawgs" so that more are eligible to join into the fun!
Also, for the Diva's, Hallie's group, Diva Dogs, is getting up there as far as activity goes! If you're a Diva, then that's the way to go, as well as another pawtastic group called Princess Divas and Prince Charmings! Teehee.
My group, Mountain Dog Agility, hasn't made it very far. I don't know much about running a group, but I sure would like to get it fast-moving like many others. If anyone would like to assist me with this, or Molly, or Hallie, please, send a bark!!!

BOL, I've rambled on. But it's been a while since my last entry. I apologize for slacking...I'll get back on it! Tomorrow I'll make all aware of my personal doggy life once again. Teehee. :)

Bark again soon!!!

Hiya, all you Dogster dawgs!

I'm ohsosorry for not updating all of you sooner. We've been ohsobusy, and mommy is sad because we don't have Ver-eye-zon anymore where our NEW HOUSE is! We now have 5 funfun acorns(or was it acres?) to run around on. It's ohsofun, all the smells, all the room, all the fresh air. I love it! We all do! It's magnificent!

And all of us apologize, too, for not replying to any paw mails and interacting with our favoritest groups. It's sad, I know, but it's something we're trying to help right now. I'm pawing someone else's internet right now. Teehee.

And now...drum roll please....my HUGEBIGAWESOME news is going to be revealed!

I'M GETTING A NEW SISTER! She's a border collie, she's red and white, and her markings include a split face and a way too cute spot on her head! I haven't met her yet, but mommy is telling me all about her and in a couple weeks we're bringing her home. I'm ohsoexcited! SO excited! Now, on top of all of our room too run, we're adding a Border collie to the family. Mommy is planning on teaching her agility with us, Disc Dog, and sheepy herding. FUN!

I'll update you all again as soon as possible, and mommy will make a page for my new sister ASAP, as well.

Bark atchya all later! And, teehee, feel free to congratulate us.

My sister Hallie

I'm ohsoproud of my sister Hallie! She's becoming famouser on Dogster. She has lots and lots of pals that love her because she is a Diva. Teehee, I think she loves being a Diva even more than agility!

All you Dogster dawgs didn't know this, but me and Hallie have different "mommies". Our mommies are sisters, too! And both of them are Sparky's mommies. Isn't that funny! My mom is only 15 in people years. Did you all know that? In agility world she's called a "Junior Handler".

Anyway, Hallie, I wanted to say that I love you very much and that you are an amazing Diva. And that I wish I could be as good a diva as you. I just love agility and chatting with my AG pup pals! Teehee. Maybe if I join that way-cool princess Diva group, I can pick up some tips! Bol!

Wow, you have lots and lots of sno-mans, Hallie! And other lovely rosettes. You are becoming the Pawpular pup I always wanted to be! Teehee. I'm proud to say that my awesome-est pal, Dazzle, gave me a sno-man. I was so proud of him and named him Razzle and he is my buddy. I wish he would not disappear! Me and Razzle will play in sno, and we will have a good time until he has to go into my His-torie. Whatever that is.

I will bark at you all later, and to you too, Hallie. I'd love some Diva lessons from you sometime....after I go out and run the AG course! I must admit, it's my favoritest thing and my topest priority, as a hooman would say. Teehee. :)
Wiggles and Wags,
~Sisi

Finally updating

Okay, all you doggies! I'm finally getting around to telling you about my trial...it was a couple weeks ago and even with my previous entry I didn't tell you how it went!

Well....I have a bit of bad newz. The first day we didn't go because somebody in our hooman family was yucky-sick. It wasn't good at all. Me and mommy were disappointed because we had 4 runs that day, but it couldn't be helped! So we went down that night to the hoo-tell.

The hoo-tell was great! We had a pawesome time, playing in the room, jumping on the beds(don't tell anyone, teehee), eating a yummy dinner and playing with some new toys. We even traing a little bit, with tricks! It was fun.

The next morning, of course, we went to the trial. There were only 3 runs offered that day, but mommy entered me in all of them anyway. There was Snooker, Fullhouse and Standard! I Q'd in both the first events...my snooker run was PAWESOME! I ran ohsozippyfast...my send-outs where the bestest, and I did everything mom wanted perfectly. It was one of our best runs. The doggy that took first was slower than us...but they beat us by one dinky point! Bol. We took second and Q'd anyway.

The next run, Fullhouse, I was great, too. We were SOOOO fast. Mommy almost tripped over me, but I saved her by being smart. Teehee. I was proud of myself and we Q'd in that too, of course. Again, we were among the fastest, but it was the points again. Mommy apologized to me and said that she gets nervous on course, is always thinking "standard" and forgetting that we need lots of points, too. Lol...but we only lost by 1, and then a couple. Oh well!

Anyway, the Standard run was at the end of the day. I was so tired. Lol...I ran really well the first half of the run, my usual fast, attentive and excited self. But...oh my dog...when I was in the tunnel, I almost fell in love. It was the prettiest yellow tunnel, so bright and fun, and it smelled great...like agility equipment. Bol. It had to be mine...so...teehee...I made it mine. Literally. Mommy was so embarrassed for me, but I wasn't! Mom just rolled her eyes and let me take another jump, and I made her laugh when I turned around and went "aaah-ROO ROO ROO!!" So it was all good. I don't think I'll be doing that again, though. Teehee.

Hiya! It's the turkey day! My three pretty page turkeys are getting chase to no end. I'm ohsoexcited! I remember....my very second diary entry was about this turkey day, too!

I am ohsosorry for not keeping all you pooches updated. Mommy has been dogging the compooter because she says she is buzy. I apologize for her dummy actions. But I'm back! And SO much has happened!

I'm going to go wag my wiggler-wagger right now, at everybody. I will tell you all about my trial very soon! And my BIGHUGEAWESOME news is not far away from being...reeveeled. Teehee.

Bark at'chya all later!

To all you OhSoSpecial Doggies and my Beloved Dogster

November 8th 2006 11:01 am

I would very much like to write a a poem about Dogster. I love it so much, my wagger wig-wags the entire time I'm on here typing and playing and chewing bones and chasing turkey-rosettes and all that pawsitively pawesome stuff. So, Dogster, I'm going to write a poem to YOU and to ALL the Special Doggies on it and those who commandeer it:

To Dogster, Dogster, For the love of the dog,
To those who run and love to jog,
To those who lick and bounce and play,
And those who bark and yodel and bay,

I love you all, and to all a life,
Free of nailclippers and bathtimes and strife,
Filled with food and toys and chases,
Of cars and bikes and other races.

To Dogster, Dogster, for being there,
To dogs who have lots of clothes to wear,
To those who are used to lots of fun,
And those who need some working on,

I love you all, and hope that you,
As Dogster dogs and fundawgs true,
Love me and my pack, too,
And that we all love rosettes that are pretty and bloo.

To Dogster, Dogster, for having fun,
by letting us play and run,
To those who are pawpular, and those who are shy,
To those who'd bark and those who'd cry,

I love you all, and forever more,
Will I be here, for fun times galore,
I hope that you all will do the same,
As we bark our way through Dogster games.

To Dogster, Dogster, for the love of the Dog,
To those who made it, and those who blog,
To those who pick the Dog of the Day,
And those who simply love to play,

I love you all, and know that we,
As dogs that roam our Dogster free,
Live for more than lots of Zealies,
...of course, we live for treats like cheese!

I love you all, and to Dogster from me,
I write my funnywierd poetry,
To Dogster and Dogs, from me to you,
I'll give any I can, lots of bones to chew. :)

This is how and why I love Dogster - It's my favorite place to go on the compooter! No place could be better. I LOVE ALL YOU DAWGS OUT THERE! I hope you didn't laugh too much at my first poem ever, but it was fun to write and I didn't even think about it. :)

About those zealies...I'd better have mum get me some more before I go crazy and chew off my wig-wagging tail because I want to give away pretty bloo rosettes and shining stars!

Bark to you all later!
~The Sierradawg
