Favorite Food: Turkey, whatever Shadow has
Favorite Walk: By the river, or even just hot laps around the resort is pretty cool!
Best Tricks: Bringing her mom slippers, one at a time (but who knows who's slippers they will end up being. Getting you to pet her by pulling down your sleeve (naughty girl)
Arrival Story: After I lost Sheena I knew I had to have another dog asap. Because of my situation with college being so busy and haing a lot of roommates, I needed a happy go lucky kind of pup, Amber came into the shelter only a few days before Sheena past on. I guess fate has a way of working itself.
Bio: Amber is your "Typical Golden", he he he. She has come a long way and now I am looking into advanced obedience for her but have not found a good class to take her too yet so we have been working on things at home. After that I would like her to be a therapy dog and visit nursing homes and hospitals. She is full of engery except when we go for jogs, she's one of those friends that whispers to you "if you slow down I will", or "if you walk I will too"! I love her to death and I know I will have a great life long companion! As soon as someone comes home she brings then thier slippers, they just may not be yours. She loves other other pets and is super when we bring home foster dogs, she's just so happy to have another friend. She never leaves my side and enjoys going everywhere with me. In fact the summer I had her (2004) Amber experienced her first of many activities such as swimming, canoeing, convertible rides, boating, going on the paddle boat and ....... going for jet ski rides!!! Yep you heard me right, everytime I would grab my gear she would sit by the door and when she was let out Amber would run right down by the jet ski!!! What a trooper! But the funny thing is the first time she was down by the lake it took her over an hour to jump into the water!

I've Been On Dogster Since:
Today my mom and I had the greatest day. We usually go on walks and she takes Ginger or another friend of mine, Gobo, but today we went alone, just the two of us. A few weeks ago one of my aunties told my mom about a trail in town it’s a long way to walk to get onto it, but it’s sure worth it. So my mom got me ready and off we went. I loved it we had a lot of time to bond. So we have to walk down Main Street and then once we cross the dam bridge we hit the trail. It is so beautiful. The trail goes a long the Red Cedar River. We went down this one area by the dam where fishermen go so mom thought we would see what was down there. It was so cool. The rock formations were awesome, there was moss growing on them it was the coolest thing. We walked a little further and realized along the side of the hills we like little water falls dripping from the over hang of land and rocks. Mommy took pictures of me on our adventure. Instead of just walking it we actually took the time to hang out and explore. I had so much fun, what a great day!!!
Hello Diary, so today was my birthday and I was showered with love and kisses. My mom got me a new bandana (yeah, um NOT!) and I got a new stuffed toy, and she even made me a cake!! But she said by the time it was done it was too late for me to eat it. I am able to sleep all night on the bed with my mom and the kitties get kicked off, oh I am so happy to celebrate my 2nd birthday in such fun ways!! I even went for a very very long walk with my "cousin" Ginger to see my "auntie" then on the trail by our house. It has water falls and is so peaceful, I really enjoyed my time. My mom even blew up some balloons for me to play with and dressses me up and took pictures, she says I should be a model, well what can I say, it's so hard being beautiful! I wish every day was my birthday. But even after all the fun time I spent with my mom, I really still wanted those diamonds in that jewelry store, come on now diamonds are truly a girls best friend!! Happy Birthday to Me!! XO Gambie
Yesterday was so wonderful. I was able to be outside and with my mom instead of pouting inside. See my mom has been working with me to stay close by her even though I still want to bolt and chase squirrels, hey I think its fun but I guess mom doesn’t whatever. So anyways I was able to just chill out all day with my mom while I watched her rack leaves. I listened very well even though there were times I didn’t with that “mind of my own" thing. But here’s the fun part. See the lake was starting to thaw out, my grandma and grandpa had a bet going on when all the ice would be gone. So while we were down by the water I was checking out what was making those noises while it hit the shore. These pieces were very cold and chunky that made a crunching noise so I took my time and was very hesitant when checking it out. But finally one-by-one I began taking pieces out of the lake and placing them on shore, I guess I wanted my grandma to win the bet. It was really fun; they were like massive ice cubes! I really wanted to pull out ice chunks today but everything melted away, it looks like I will have to wait until next year, I sure am going to miss the snow! Hey by the way it’s only 5 days and 2 ½ hours away until my 2nd Birthday!!!!!
xoxo Gambarella
