she loves when you talk to her
touching her tail
any plush toy that squeaks
walking with her daddy
she knows how to open presents and eat corn on the cob
My husband rescued her pregnant mom, a stray, and she was born under his bed. She picked my husband, she followed him everywhere and would squeak when he put her down. Her brothers are with his grandparents and his parents. Her brother Patrick is pictured with her in the car. Both of her brothers are low-riders and they all see each other on holidays.
She is very loyal and protective.
Near the end of August of 2008, we noticed that she wasn't acting right and wasn't going #2 very often or very little if anything. X-rays showed that she was completely blocked up, a visit to a specialist and an ultrasound later confirmed that she had a tumor blocking her intestines. She wanted to keep eating and go outside but it was getting painful for her (I'll spare the details). So we had to make the decision to put her to sleep. The vet convinced us the best way would be for her to come over to our house which we are so thankful for. It was extremely hard, everyone who has gone through this knows. Everyone told me beforehand no amount of preparing yourself will help and they were right. She would have been 15 on October 13, 2008. Her last day was a good day, we got her a new toy, she got to eat some of her favorite food, my brother came over to see her (she loved him so much). We told the vet how her she had such a good last day and she said to me: "Are you kidding me? She had a good life." We know she did, she enjoyed life to the fullest and had no problem telling us what she wanted. We love her and miss her so much.
I love to chase squirrels!

This is a message send to the GSD World Dogster group on August 30th, 2008
The vet came over to my house yesterday and put my sister Cinder to sleep. She has been sick for a few days and the vets told my parents that she had a tumor pushing on her intestines. She hasn't been herself the last couple of weeks and my parents didn't notice until this past week because they have been focused on me and my poop, I was just diagnosed with EPI (Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency). I see my parents cry a lot. They say to each other how it's strange to not see her any more and how the routine has changed. I kind of think I know what's going on but when they came home from the vet this morning with my cat brother, I thought maybe they would bring Cinder home with them. My parents are in so much pain right now. I try to cheer them up with toys. My parents know they have done the right thing for her but they still miss her terribly. She would have been 15 in October. I think I will miss her because I have known her all my life. Thanks for listening.
