Arrival Story:
She was rescued from the pound. My boyfriend went there and she was the only dog to come up the the fence and lick his hand. When you adopt a dog here, they have to be spayed or neutered. She was also in poor health, so it was about a week before she could go home with him. When the day finally came to bring her home, the pound called him and told him that the owners had come forward. After more than a week they decided to call. He weighed the options and decided that as skinny and matted as she was, they had not been caring for her properly (and even to this day you can tell there had been some kind of abuse), so she went home with him. They adopted me into the family after they had been together about 2 years.
