John had gotten him11/04 from someone who couldnt keep him he was 4 months old and had been kicked had his back leg broken, in 08/05 John and Jake moved from Washington to Sacramento To live with Kelly and her 3 children. Jake had an instant family which he adored right off the bat. We were worried about adjusting but he fell in love with the kids as much as they loved him. Now guards them even from US!. he sleeps in their room at night. Waits for them to return from school every day. He is the best addition to our family we could have evera sked for. And as for the broken Back leg Youd never know it He runs with the best of them , if the weathers cold he may limp a little . or get sore if he over does it .. but dont we all ???

Jake is a Chocolate Lab. 1 year old. and the absolute love of our lives ....before coming to California I lived in washington With my Dad Jake, And my feline Brother Cameron, I enjoyed Playing at the lake or swiming in the ocean, Rolling in the snow, and visiting with my grandma, I miss her tons. Now I have another feline sister named sassy and 3 human step siblings and a new mommy who spoils me endlessly. I enjoy chasing the kids around the yard or chasing the vacume cleaner as they do chores, anything for some attention!

So we took the big step and decided to go get jake fixed ... he Wasnt to pleased with mommy .. I got the " uumm your forgetting the DOG!!!" look as i left the vets... But when we came to pick him up he was so cute and loopy and happy it was like " YAY you DIDNT forget about me !" and funny . I swear ive already noticed how much calmer he has been ... and he hasnt been Pee'ing on everything...( well except the fence and tree's ) but thats his turf.. I wont be able to stop that..
So the vet had given him these little chewable pain pills for a few days after surgery .. HAHAH well they made him all loopy and sleepy.. but he LOVED THEM!. id shake the bottle and he would beg and shake my hand and sit pretty like it was a treat!! ... I havent laughed soo hard in ages .. He is such a goof ball !
