Arrival Story:
Jake was in the paper as the 'dog of the week' at the local shelter. The picture wasn't great, but I had to see what a beagle/rottweiler mix looked like. Went out to look at him, and those big brown eyes suckered us in! We adopted him the next day.

Bio:
According to the sheet on his cage, he was given up because hisprevious owners didn't have the time for him. He had lived his life on a chain outside, wasn't housebroken or neutered (he is now happily both.) He is the most loving dog we have ever had. ' Jake is no longer with us; he passed away in March of 2005. We are comforted by the thought that we gave him the best life we could, and all the love we had. We miss him dearly.
