Back in May, Mom and Dad decided to get a new puppy for the family. They told me that part of the reason why they wanted to get a new puppy was so that I could have a playmate. Whenever I get bored, I either nudge one of them and lay my head on their lap or I stand about 2 feet away from them and stare until they can't take it anymore. I guess those tactics were starting to get old, so now I have a new little brother. He's not so new anymore, since we've been together for 9 months already.
His name is Duncan. He can be such a pest sometimes. He nibbles on my ankles with his sharp teeth and even latches onto my jowels. I admit, it does make me yelp at times, but I take it like a dog. I play back, but I never actually bite down. He is about a quarter of my size, but I still let him think he's boss. Though my old boxer days of being an energizer bunny have somewhat gone by, I still can keep up with the little whippersnapper. I believe his agility and speed was learned from me. He's also taught me a few things:
1. Eating all my food right away instead of one bite at a time like I used to.
2. Barking at other dogs while we're walking.
3. Barking when the door bell rings.
Sometimes I'm not in the mood to play and just want to take a nap. That's usually when Mom or Dad make a bed for me and keeps Duncan away. At first, I was a bit skeptical about the addition, but now it's all gravy.

I suppose I've been a bad doggie lately due to the fact I have not visited Dogster in such a long time. It really is a great way for me to meet dogs from all over the US! I'm glad Bella had asked me to become her pup pal or I probably wouldn't have logged on to discover the new Journal Entry feature on this website. The team who runs this thing is so creative! (Check out Bella's page after mine. She is a cute 3-month old boxer!)
So what's been happenning in my wild and crazy life, you ask? Well, since July, my mommy and daddy sold our condo even though our new house isn't built yet. They told me it was such a great offer, they couldn't pass it up and also because they market is "hot" right now. Yes, they try to teach me everything. They think I'm a person! Anyway, I have been living at granma, great-auntie and great-granma's house ever since. Mommy, Daddy and I share one room together and I love it! I miss my crate at times, so I hang out in the bathroom or in the hallway every so often. The close quarters comfort me. It's been difficult for me adjusting to great granma's accent. I don't understand what she's saying and she's always yelling at me! Once, daddy didn't come home for lunch and mommy was on a business trip and great-granma forgot to take me out during lunchtime. By the time daddy came home from work, I was about to pee inside the house but I was good and held it for a long time - around 8 hours! There are also upsides to living here. I seem to be able to persuade them more easily in giving me people food. It's awesome! I'm staying here till Mid-November I think when the new house is completely built.
Well, this is my first entry and I hope you enjoyed getting to know a little bit more about me! I can't wait to read your entries so start writing if you already haven't! Dogster is a great community. Til next time!
