I travel lot with my mom and dad, I am originally from cool weather, San Francisco, CA but we moved to Williamsurg, VA, where it is HOT!! I first had allergies or so we thought. This past summer was very bad for me, I got very tired and didn't know why I was always hinking like a " G O O S E", yes you read that correctly, I was always coughing, hacking and honking, when I got excited, went outside or just hung out. In September 07, mom took to me to see, " white coat" aka doggie doctor. Mom was told I had a Collapse Trachea , I was coughing and I was always very tired just trying to breathe Mom didn her research and contacted all the really smart yorkies on here yorkie egroups at Yahoo groups, and there, she got great advise, so we went to see the BEST vets at Tennessee University. I was evaluated (Jan. 24 & 25) and the doctors put in a stent in my trachea. The University of Tennessee Small Animal clinic was awesome.
Mom and I hope to put up a webpage with answers to questions, I wish had gotten answerd, when we were reasearching this illness. I am still recovering and hope tobe back to my normal routine. Please email me is you, have gone the endoscopy and had a stent put in. We would like to read, you are doing. Email me, if you have any useful information, we can add to our Collapse Trachea D'tails webpage. Woof!!

Hi paws,
It’s me, Madison; It has been a long while, since I was able to write, so I am a bit bcked up. Below is my latest entry ..
Yesterday, mom took back to the doggie doctor’s chamber of tortures. I don’t like the table, they have there, it is cold and some other lady comes in the room and sticks me with a stick in my booty. I get scared and want mom to pick me up; she just tells me, it is ok. I think to myself, “MOM, I am not ok; can’t you see, what is happening here?” The doctor talks to me in a sweet voice and she listens to my chest, so I thought, she likes me but then she sent in another to stick a HUGE needle in my hip. Mommy thought she would take a picture of me, because I was not happy to be there. How you handle your trip to the doggie doctor chamber of horrors? Do you get treats or special belly rubs after the tortures? Hint; sad puppy eyes, timid body language will get you lots of hugs and kisses.
Mom was freaked out over some mystery maggot in my water bowl. The doctor said some fly have dropped them. I think the maggots were just thirsty! The doctor also said that even if I did eat one of the critters, it would just be a little extra protein. I prefer chicken or steak for my protein. Loops, mom is coming... bark at you later. Hi paws to you.
One of my yorkie pals, reminded of the Yorktoberfest online album, I forgot to post. It was awesome! Mom and I met a pretty young little lady named Scarlette and her mom, Megan, together we drove to West Friendship, MD for the Annual www.Yorkierescueme.com fundraiser. It was great, we met some of our online friends from the yorkieland egroup. Here is the link to the pixs and videos. http://picasaweb.google.com/MadisonYorkie/Yorktoberfest07

Hi paws pals,
I was thinking about the coming season; how once again, our beloved moms and dads will need our assistances during the holidays. It is our job to help our devoted humans’ parents, please email me with any ideas, tips etc; nothing is too small or insignificant.
So, whether, you are doing a taste test of the turkey dinner, watering the newly decorated Christmas or guarding the presents from malicious sabotage, share your ideas. We, yorkies need to step up and do out part to help the less experienced yorkies. During the holidays, there is lot of traveling, thus I have included my part. Woof, woof, your pal, Madison in VA soon to be going to North Carolina in a week {smile}

Packing, the yorkie way.
Every yorkie knows that preparing for travel can be very tedious. Since I travel from West to East coast I have included, some helpful tips on how to pack
Keep very still and try to blend in, so no one will notice you!
If you are suspect, you have spotted, pretend to be a stuff toy, remember, it is Christmas
If your help with packing, fail try “sad puppy eye look”, Don’t give up, sad puppy eyes
make moms/ dads feel extreme guilt, so even if you don’t get to travel on this trip,
They will not soon forget the L@@K. Photo of my travels are @ http://www.flickr.com/photos/11898051@N05/sets/

This morning the sun was shinning bright, but there was ice on the grass and on the car that my little patitas were very cold. OUCHIE! Mommy and Carmen drank hot tea, while I explored the great outdoors. Mommy took me for an early walk at a mountain ( Bernal Hts. Park) in the middle the city. Mommy There were not too many BIG dogs, I was very brave! I still look for you when I see someone that looks like you, I don't understand what happened. Mommy, tells me you love me very much but are not able to walk with me because she took me in a plane to this far away place. Mommy does know how to play, like us guys. I try to let her think she plays ok. I go to cuddle on her neck and she does NOT know how to turn me over just right.
Not too after we got back to the house, the clouds started to pouring down. I heard mommy say, that highway 280 has hail causing traffic problems. I don't like it,when it is cold and raining, it is not good for outdoor potty breaks. Mommy is doing chores so I going to take a short nap.
Many, many special Madison kisses and tails to you,
Madison

Yesterday, I saw that Shooter passed away. They had no details, except that he died quietly and peacefully. You will remember www.Shooterdog.com was the portal which helped me, figure out what to do with our precious little fuzzy face boy.

Fourteen years is a long time! I was a Yorkie puppy with a web page when the Internet was new and I've had a blessed life. I've met hundreds of great pets and folks, I've been on TV, radio, in books, and had millions of page views. I'd like to think I've made a few people say "Ahhh" or laugh. As long as you keep clicking, I'll always be with you. There's a lot here to see and hear, so I hope you have fun exploring.
