Arrival Story:
UPDATE - Marco Polo crossed the Rainbow Bridge on 7-26-2010. Be at peace, beautiful boy. You are very missed every day, my love. Marco Polo is a shelter rescue via Basenji Rescue & Transport (BRAT). He has lived with me and his Basenji foster siblings since 10-26-2005. As of 2-09-2006, we are a permanent family. :-)

Bio:
(I'm leaving this original information from when Marco first came into my life to tell people that adopting an older Basenji is so, so worth it.) Don't let his age deceive you -- this is one spunky senior Basenji who has lots of things to do and say. He makes numerous proclamations every day -- the most reliable one is his announcement that I am not getting his dinner ready fast enough! He has become a real lovebug and I just adore him. There are many other wonderful rescue Basenjis needing forever homes who can be seen at www.basenjirescue.org and adoption applications for any rescue Basenjis are always accepted.
