Arrival Story:
Alexandra chose me! I visited the Brooklyn shelter after Penny went to the Rainbow Bridge. I started to feel overwhelmed and I was just about to leave when a long pink paw and a nose came poking out of one of the crates to get my attention. I saw she was 8 years old, and I was looking for a younger dog, but I couldn't resist, so I opened up the crate, reached in and lifted her out. Alexandra immediately snuggled in my arms and rested her head gently on my shoulder. At that moment, I knew that she was telling me that she that she was the dog for me! I brought her home and she has been a wonderful, warm and affectionate companion ever since!
Bio:
4-5-10 After almost 8 years of unconditional love devotion and friendship, Alexandra passed away suddenly after a brief illness. It's a devastating loss, and letting go is excruciating, but at 15 plus years, I am realizing that it was her time and she answered the call of the angels to the Rainbow Bridge. Morning is most difficult as I miss doing my kooky dances for her as I got ready for work in the morning and I'm sure my rendition of Beyonce's "Single Dogs" brought down the house for her!! Alexandra you were my sweetie and my baby lamb, You are with your big sister Penny at the bridge now, but you will forever remain here in Mommy's heart.

Today is the 2nd anniversary of my crossing over the Rainbow Bridge. I know my mom still misses me every day. What she doesn't know is that I watch over her all the time. I am happy that she stays close to me by staying active in Dogster and making such nice friends here. Love you and miss you too mom!

It's been a year today since I went to the bridge and got my wings as an angel. My mommy is having a sad day today as she is still missing me so much. She lit a pink candle that smelled of lavender and said a prayer for me and my big sister Penny. She hopes one day to work closer to home so she can adopt another mini poodle like me. I miss my mommy too, but I want her to know I am running and playing and healthy here!
